Seriously now! This was stated months ago, did any of you really think this thing was going to have good battery life? HTC is famous for terrible battery life...And you wont have to look far to find out how bad it really is....The Droid Inc & HTC EVO are 2 good examples, while both awesome phones, the battery life was just terrible on both.
Now throw in 4G LTE with the TB and you have a disaster on your hands with a 1450 battery. This is the downfall guys, batteries are not evolving with the phones. And while phones keep getting faster processors, and bigger screens, the batteries stay the same...the end result is crappy battery life! The Thunderbolt is late to the dance, but vzw blaming battery life to me is a cop out. The phone has been tested for months, they just figured this out now?....LOL....Just tell us the truth, iPhone sales sucked, and you didn't want to hurt your sales numbers by releasing the TB right on the heels of the iPhone. Google should just open up Flag ship stores in Major cities, and have all these phone companies like HTC, MOTO, LG, and Samsung all under one roof, and sell the phones unlocked. I am absolutely beginning to hate phone providers!
man do they wait until last minute to test things out or what?
The biggest problem I see with htc phones is Sense being a battery hog. I love Sense but noticed my battery last longer with CM7 and power set to performance, min cpu at 245 and max cpu at 1113.
Maybe, the issue with battery is LTE is always trying to connect when LTE is not in range and is sucking the juice out of the phone. This problem could have come up when they sent to testers in markets not live with LTE.
As long as the TB can get 80% of what my Incredible does battery life wise I'll be happy . On my normal use days fresh battery at 6am , about 2hrs of bluetooth music while getting ready and then going to the gym then the drive to work (yes my incredible is my main music player) about 30-60minutes of phone calls, some internet etc while at work , get home more music via BT and more texting etc... by the time I'm going to bed around 11pm I've still got 40% life left. All I ask is my phone can make it from 6am to midnight

I have the Inspire - somewhat similar to the T-bolt (kinda) and the battery life is great. And its battery is smaller than the t-bolt's.
Do you have the Seidio extended battery? My wife hardly uses her Dinc and she barely makes if from 8am to 6pm, by the time she gets home she's at 20-30%.
This is a different version of sense, and is optimized for android. I got to tryout the bolt yesterday, my Verizon Rep stopped by yesterday, and it was smooth as butter. He had it for the weekend, and never mentioned anything about the battery life being bad? He did say that a new firmware update is being pushed on Monday 28th. That's the date he gave me last week.
I wish I could try this bad boy out. I can upgrade the 28th but I really like the incredible but want a bigger screen.
What color is the Thunderbolt in that picture? Looks kinda like light bronze or something. Like the black Incredible better. Just an opinion.
