Just got off the phone with a CS rep at Verizon. He said the phone will be released "sometime in April", and that the phone is still under development by HTC.

In addition, he said the LTE network is undergoing "maintenance".

I can't believe HTC has hooked us with this vaporware that is still being developed, and that Verizon tried to pull a fast one on consumers with the network and all. The network is not even ready!

these are the same people that have been telling people feb 14, feb 24, feb 28, march 3, march 10 blah blah blah

verizon's only date so far has been Q1 which ends in march

this phone will be released in march

by the time it is released a good number of people will have gotten tired of waiting on it though

Oh I wish it was, believe me. I called the guy, pretending that I knew nothing about the phone, and he pulled up some info for me. He said he can't even find anything in the database, under than the phone being released "sometime in April", and that it's under development.

The person on the other line also said they don't even have specs, at all.

OK, I am not trolling here, just wanted to report on what I heard. I want this phone to be released as much as everyone else wants it to. Do you think the wait is any easier for me? I have a droid phone that does not function at all, on the network I am using right now, and I have to wait for this phone, because buying a droid phone now would mean buying a soon-to-be EOLed item.

I just think the release is getting a little too drawn out, that's all. I also told the CS, in no uncertain terms, that until the day they release the Thunderbolt, they can expect no business from me, at all.

I find it hard to believe that they don't have specs when everyone else has specs....

Fail.. Even though you do VZW reps run on EST means if they close at 12 here they close at 11 there.. Obvious troll is obvious

Their website made no mention of which time zone they operate in, whereas T-Mobile's does, just for comparison. I got through to the rep at the specified business hours, in my time zone.

I am sorry if I bursted your March bubble, but don't you think you are overreacting? Honestly, if this phone gets released, I will buy it, I just hope no Samsung LTE phones get released before this phone.

CS reps are probably the last people to get info on when phone's will be released. They're trained to handle general questions, complaints, billing issues, etc.

If there's an issue with the LTE network how are the LTE modem's working?

I find it hard to believe that they don't have specs when everyone else has specs....

OK, the specs part I find ridiculous as well (perhaps of a company-wide "shut your mouth policy"?), but seeing as we are operating on nothing but rumors, this piece of info at least had some "official" ring to it.

Lte is not ready? Funny my uncle has an LTE modem and it works flawlessly

It wasn't a major part of the conversation. He just said "just so you know, our nationwide 4G network is undergoing maintenance."

Now, routine maintenance is maintenance, major fixed are maintenance. I just get the feeling that they are not ready for 4G.

So I guess my "Spoke to Verizon and they said a May release for the TB" thread might not be a good idea?

why must people create a new thread every time they are told a different date. Oh my goodness, this just gets annoying...................

I've been saying this all week, everytime one of these threads is created. Do a search, or use common knowledge and if it's related to the release, put it in the release thread. Please.

Why does anyone bother to even call and ask CS anymore? And why do some on here believe them? It's obvious that nothing has been officially communicated to the reps. It's all pure speculation.

ist pointless to ask anyone at this point. I think everyone has been tortured enough with all the misinformation and crap that has been fed from people. I think one person says something in the cs department and it leads to another person speculating.

Detroit is the first market they expanded to after the initial installs throughout the country last year. They just turned on our lights 2 weeks ago.

Works flawlessly...and you'd think a "new" activation would need tweaks and fixes rather than ones that have been in use for a little while...

I agree, I find the CS rep's info to be totally misguided and false.
