Petition against AT&T/Motorola anyone?

I was thinking about starting a Groubal petition about AT&T and how they are capping the HUSPA speeds on the Atrix 4g and maybe the Inspire?
Maybe they will pay some kind of attention to the issue ..anyone?

This is what I came up with:

I am one of many people who got excited about the new Motorola Atrix 4G phone when AT&T advertised that they will be carrying it. The Atrix 4G is a powerful phone and has a lot of great features. Unfortunately, since owning this phone I have been experiencing very slow data speeds and have been losing the Internet connection especially in times when I really needed to find directions or look up information. I have contacted AT&T and was told that everything is fine and that the network in my area is working the way it is supposed to.
This is what I asked AT&T: Why would the Motorola Atrix 4G, advertised as the most powerful phone in the market, register poorer data speeds than other less powerful phones? Why would AT&T advertise as being a 4G phone while it doesn't perform as good as a 3G phone?
I am using Groubal to try to get AT&T and Motorola’s attention about this matter because I couldn't find any other way to do so....There are so many unhappy paying customers out there and our voices should be heard!

What do you guys think?

though i support your cause, im pretty sure AT&T said they will be doing some sort of an update allowing HSUPA on these devices, but either way lets push it haha

I just want them to find a solution to the capped upload speeds maybe through an update or something...I can wait for the HSPA+ upgrade

When I start needing the ability to send 5 MP to everyone in my contact list, all at the same time, ill be a bit more concerned about my upload speeds. My download speeds are what I expect of a provider that really has barely launched a so called faster network. I 'd rather them just stop calling this "4G" .

Same here, it's not really affecting my use of this outstanding device. At worst case, it's just like my previous phone and at better case (i.e., eventually) it'll be faster.

I think it's too much of a concern about running speed tests vs. actually using the phone. We were out on Friday and I was able to do everything I needed and at an acceptable speed.

Agreed.. It is more like 3.5g, I've read several articles about this. Sure its the next generation but I wish we had more standards dictating what is and what isn't "4g". A little honesty wouldn't kill them, would it? Actually it might considering the comparisons with Verizon would leave them in the dust in several respects. I really thought AT&T was a dying company a long time ago.

I just received this email from Groubal:

Signed and re-tweeted, I do not own an Atrix. But, I do believe that the Inspire is also being capped as I am getting ridiculously slow data speeds.

Inspire and Atrix owners need to get together here and get as many signature as possible, with all the comments I read. If this continues to grow and grow, we have a good chance of getting what we want.

I agree ..I would add The Inspire as well but I am not sure if its owners are in board.

I know that the HSPA+ network is not available to me in my area. I can understand that. What I can't accept is that my 4G phone is a slower 3G phone as well. AT&T MUST stop blocking the HSUPA capability of my 4G phone.

Signed!
