Just took delivery on a Motorola Standard BH5X battery purchased on Amazon.com from a company called The OEM Planet for $5 with free shipping. It's advertised as official Motorola OEM and new. It arrived in a little thermosealed plastic bag, not any kind of official retail packaging, but as far as I can tell after about a week of use, it's the real thing. All the labels on it are exactly the same as my OEM battery that I got with the phone. When I put it in my phone it had about 70% charge and so far, battery life is pretty much the same as my OEM. Never hurts to have some extra juice...and for $5...what the heck!

I bought the BH6X extended battery from ebay. Came the same way and the reason behind that is because it is an OEM replacement, it is not ment to have any special packaging or anything. I picked mine up for 18.50 and it was too a new OEM motorola battery. I can use my phone almost all day (no crazy stuff) and still have 80% by midnight after unplugging it at 8am. When I play games and stuff it is still long lasting, yesterday playing games all day it was only down to 60% by 7pm, so it is still a good upgrade, and it also fits on the stock battery cover :D

I got a BH6X extended battery off the VZW site a couple of months after the phone first came out when they had a special coupon code. Between that and my corporate discount, I got it for around $26. I can make it through the day with the standard battery and still have a minimum of 40 to 50% unplugging at 5:15 AM and going to sleep around 11:00 PM. Couldn't resist the $5 price though, so now I have 2 standard batteries and 1 extended so pretty sure that should cover all of my power needs.

I got the BH6X off eBay for $20, but I swear it's draining as quickly, if not more so, than the standard 5X. I think I got ripped off. I take it off about 8AM, and with no calls, but maybe 3-5 texts and facebook views, it's about 70% around 5PM. Then once I get home and hit it hard, it drains like the dickens. The original was not much different. But at least I have two in case...just need an external charger that doesn't take a month to ship from China!

Just ordered one of these as well, the reviews from buyers on Amazon were very positive for this seller, I bought two for my original Droid (just ordered a Droid X from VZW for $50 re-certified) off of Ebay and they were fake generic ones, they werent the true OEM batteries, so yeah it does happen and people get ripped off easy with these things, but these look like the real thing

there is the link but you need to check the "other" section the "29 new from $4.24" under the main heading, for some reason The OEM Planet one isnt coming up when you search, I ended up buying one from them after adding a usb charger and a battery to my cart, it happened to be from them :)

Mine is still working fine and it's providing the same amount of juice as the original one that came with my phone. I've actually got 2 of the standard BH5X batteries and one extended life BH6X battery. I just rotate the two standard ones during the week (I've read that you don't want to just buy one and store it) and usually use the extended life one on the weekend. I use a golf GPS app on the weekends which draws more battery so it's nice to have the extended life one for that. No problem getting through at least 1 full day with any of the batteries with moderate use.

Good deal! I hate to tell you what I paid for my extra battery!

I bought mine from Verizon and have been thinking the same thing, it drains just as quick as the standard.

My Droid 2's extended battery was night and day though. I got many extra hours of battery power from it. Not sure what's up with the X.

I bought one from them, but they p!ssed me off after not returning my e-mails when USPS lost the package. When they finally got back to me, I was already ticked at them-- they offered to send it out again but after two weeks of not a word from them (by the by, i'm local so the package should have arrived in a day or two) so I said screw it, no thanks. Then had to ask like three times for a refund. They did finally give me one though.
