hey guys should i go for DHD or should i wait for dual core phones to come??

At this point it is better to wait for newer phones like the sony xperia arc/neo
motorola atrix
lg optimus 2x
htc desire S/ incredible s
samsung galaxy s2

if you must buy now i suggest you take a look at the samsung galaxy s/sl both are available for around 19k and are great for the price especially the s (it has the super amoled screen vs s-lcd in the sl).

just dont lean towards hardware, look for software also, and in that HTC sense is best, I had used galaxy s, its software is sluggish and updates sucks..

galaxy s2 hardware wise it will be gr8 again but it wil cost a furtune and why not keep DHD and buy a honeycomb dual core tablet which really needs dual core with that caliber of hardware...DHD is for now a perfect phone..except for screen quality of course

yup saj_2001ind is right, all phones have pretty decent hardware specs (they can't fully utilize dual cores before honeycomb anyway) personally i am leaning towards the arc for a new phone, now that ones a looker.
as for the galaxy s yes samsung have been lax in providing updates but it did get to 2.2 and will also get 2.3, you just have to wait a little longer. the slugishness has been fixed but not by samsung just search samsung lagfix and you'll know what i'm talking about

i am able to make location work fine on htcsense.com now, when u reresh location from htcsense.com make sure your phone's gps is on and take it outside to make a lock and then it syncs locations data to htcsense.com and finally it shows correctly on website

but cannot see any dashboard tabs on top yet..anyone got it working pls share details

ok guys thanks for reply's

actually i dont want Samsung it slow in update my budget is 25k(may be i could increase 2-3k more)
i want to buy next month
if Optimus 2x will be available i will buy that or go for DHD or Neo or Arc

Xperia Neo and Arc will be in India around mid April

check out the links..

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo Price In India: Buy Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo: Price, Reviews: Flipkart Mobiles

The new Xperia phones have amazing features like Bravia Mobile Engine and Exmor camera sensor etc.. but all of them have very less on board memory (ROM) around 300 MB.... and 512 MB RAM.
the DHD has 1.5GB.ROM and 768 MB RAM...

If all the apps can be moved to SD card (without rooting required) then less ROM will not be a problem...

Hoping that Sony Ericsson will be agressive on updates......

only 300MB of ROM is pathetic with android phones , that means free rom for apps installation will be only around 200 MB...I use to have original desire and it had 200 odd MB free, I installed around 20-30 apps and it was all full even with froyo and apps moved to sd

androoid apps even if u move to sd takes significant amount of memory internally hence it should be at least 1.5 GB like in our DHD

in this case samsung is very good, they have 2GB and above

and yeah sony future updates will be pathetic too, their x10 was only 1.6 when whole world moved to 2.2

HTC is the best bet so far and after that samsung

i have around 40-50 apps and i'm using 100 mb of internal memory, this is without moving any apps to the sd card. i think you should be fine with 200 mb unless you install a lot of games in which case you'll have to move some apps to the sd card.
you could have 100-150 apps in 200mb which is imho more than enough.

sony have also clarified on the updates problem, they said that they acknowledge the problem the original x10 had and have learned from their mistakes, hence the arc has a new revamped ui (timescape is now a widget and mediascape has had a makeover) which will take considerably less time to update, add to that the fact its shipping with 2.3 out of the box, i don't think we need to worry about future updates. Thus you can safely choose the arc.

gmail and other sync apps also stores data on ur internal memory, I am using around 650 MB with yeah lots of games and around 150 apps on my DHD....
but thats why we want this high end phone ... to install whatever we can and not worry about out of memory..whts the use of having so fancy hardware and cannot install apps/games which we want....

2.3 will come to DHD for sure

only its screen quality a bit low compared to other phones else no complaints

yeah galasy S2 is good option
