Root What happens when the next OTA comes out?

I just rooted by Dinc with Unrevoked 3.32, and I am wondering what will happen when the next OTA comes out? Will I have to unroot before the update, and is there a way to stop the update from nagging me every half hour after it shows up on my phone? (Sorry if this has been answered already, but I spent almost an hour looking around on this forum, and couldn't find a straight answer):D

BTW, I don't wish to install a custom Rom, so please don't suggest that! Thanks!

you can do the update ota but it will redo your recovery... as long as you have s-off you can follow the directions on the unrevoked site to flash custom recovery and install superuser and be good to go... I dont see any updates coming to the incredible anytime soon its pretty much done with updates for a while... go here and read the reinstalling and official recovery section public:forever [RootWiki]

but honestly it would be easier to wait a little bit and install someones already rooted ota rom that they make... its still the official software just has had superuser installed and usually comes out about 6 hours after the ota is pushed to phones

So you would just download the modified update, and copy the update.zip file to the root of the sdcard, and go to settings>about phone> system updates?

Thanks for your time.

Is that the root explorer available on the Market? Thanks.

Yes, there are a couple of them available. My personal favorite is Super Manager. Keep in mine if you want to edit any root folders you must enable "root mode." I didn't know this the first time I tried and it would never save me changes. Good luck!

IMO, root explorer sh_ts on every other file manager available. Spend the $4.00 and buy it. It will be one of the best apps you purchase.
