And did anyone figure out what the exrta perk was going to be once this drops? Bigger Batt, Skype, Netflix,..etc...?
 
I have a question, and it may be a stupid one.... from what it sounds like the LTE service kills the battery pretty quickly on the TB. So, is 4g/LTE "required" on the TB, or can you just stay with 3G service?

I don't know for sure but assume there will be a software switch to toggle 4G.
 
Like as in will there be a way of putting a switch on your desktop to turn it on and off? I have power switches for Hotspot, Wifi, Blue tooth all set up on my 2nd page to the left. I can quickly turn them off or on to extend battery.
 
I thought a SIM card was required for 4g, someone correct me if I'm wrong. But if that is the case, would NOT putting the 4g SIM card in default to 3G? I'd ask Vzw, but I bet they have little/no idea as of yet.
 
I have information from our business rep who stopped by our office this morning to say the Thunderbolt will be released this week. I will try and reach out to a mod because I do have some information that backs up this statement. However, I do not want to put anyone in jeopardy of getting in trouble.

I am new here, but have been around plenty of mobile forums over the last 7 or so years and do not want to seem I am just posted bogus information. My disclaimer here is the rep is trying to gain our business by offering Thunderbolts with hotspots as the big selling point. It is pretty decent size account. We have been waiting on this since February and have gotten bits of information here and there. This morning the rep seem generally excited that this was accurate.

We all know news from reps is not always reliable and this one is trying to gain a decent size account. So please take this information for what it is worth. I do not claim to be an insider or have any great access to knowledge. I am simply passing along what I was told. I know how these things are taken on these forums, so do what this information what you like.
