I was a defender of Ben^5 up until now but I realize, at this point, that Ben is giving us the official Verizon un-official info. Not really giving us inside information but only giving us the info that Verizon wants us to have.

I'll give it a couple more days and then I'm moving on. I won't be threatening to leave Verizon because they have the best network where I need it but my official view of Verizon has gone from a positive one to this: "Verizon, kiss my a$$".

Has anybody thought about this being an HTC issue?

Maybe we are aiming our disgust in the wrong direction.

I mean, we surely have enough anger and frustration to spread around, we may as well implicate HTC in all of this too.

Totally could be, but I have a feeling that Verizon would begin to point fingers if it were catching this kind of heat. I could totally be wrong, but I remember VZW telling me that my INC was delayed because SAMSUNG shorted them on screens.

Netflix and Google Music (with GB) will be coming to the device after launch. Onlive will follow. Battery issues on 4G LTE were causes of the delays, but since then, it has been fixed.

I really know nothing about cell phone technologies and even less about Android. However, and this point could be irrelevant, when the TBolt batt issues first surfaced I did post (elsewhere) asking if LTE could possibly pose a problem encountered when EVDO rolled out. EVDO was only in certain markets at launch - much as LTE is now. The newest EVDO capable phones were constantly searching for EVDO signal and that was causing fast battery drain. I have read posts speculating that the LTE radio in TBolt could be manually deactivated in menus and/or bypassed altogether by pulling the SIM. I still find myself wondering if this may have contributed to the posted battery issues on TBolt. But, it is certainly good news to see "it has been fixed". :)
 
I wonder if Bennnnn is "real"? Business analysts in companies are not a bunch of folks, so not hard at all for VZW business security to figure out who the person is. It is not like the person is a store sales person where there are a lot of people to hide amongst.

Business analysts tend to be in finance, marketing or sales departments (depending on the set-up of the organization). Most there could be is ten or twenty- tops. Our company is over 10,000 folks and we have about that.

Something does not seem to add up with Bennnnn, unless his job description is a front for something else to keep him deep, deep undercover.

from his recent post it seems verizon already knows what he is doing. because he says "ill will let you know any news as soon as im allowed too" meaning verizon knows what hes doing and they dont want him saying anything to revealing.

Meaning he probably works in marketing, not business analytics.

It's a safe assumption that at the very least, Marketing and Legal folks at VZW know the identities of BMX and Ben5. Rather than seeing this as fishy...I think it's nothing more than VZW's attempts to support individuals like BMX and Ben5 who are reaching out to the fan community. VZW certainly can't officially comment on some of these technical and marketing planning issues, but If some of their employees want to manage our frustration, at the very least VZW can provide guidelines about what can be said, and when...with which both BMX and Ben5 seem to be abiding.

That wouldn't really have anything to do with it. There is no trademark dispute, Apple's Thunderbot tech. has nothing to do with mobile phones. They are two completely different animals. Now if Apple was calling the iPhone 5 the Thunderbolt or calling a feature on the iPhone "Thunderbolt" then there might be a dispute.

As it stands now there isn't a TM dispute.
