Best Buy Details

I just got my email too.

Except, mine said: "Due to your V.I.P. status with Best Buy, to include your membership in the Best Buy for Business program, we will contact you 2 days before the Thunderbolt is available for our regular customers."

-Frank (The first liar doesn't have a chance!) :D

:eek:You should probably watch what you say. You could potentially get a lot of people very upset by saying something like that.;)

Still havent gotten the email. I pre-ordered first day. :(

I guess it all depends on how many or if any the store you ordered from will have. So may be the system is sending out emails to the customer who preordered from a store that is guaranteed shipment. I hope you get one soon.

Haha... hey... this is the Internet. Love it or leave it! :)

I really did get the email. However, I don't think they're gonna be able to sell one to me since I'm doing an annual upgrade.

I got my e-mail too, but I've moved on to bigger and better phones (that exist!!)

hehehe,

I wonder if I can sell my place in line. Not seriously.

I got the BB email as well (2:32pm EST). First I've heard from BB since I pre-ordered on 2/6.

That is why I am excited once again lol. To some it might feel like oh so what you got your preorder confirmation, but I have never heard from them for a month. So for them to finally send an email about pre order is a major development for me. Sounds like they know now when they are getting the phones.

I just got the following e-mail.

"Dear ***********,

Thank you for your recent reservation of the Verizon ThunderBolt 4G by HTC with Best Buy.

This e-mail is an additional confirmation that your smart phone is reserved in your name, but most likely you will never see it. We will contact you as soon as your deposit is non-refundable. In addition we'd like to mention we also have the iPhone 4™ for sale while you wait the next two years for Verizon to release the new ThunderBolt 4G by HTC™. We will also have the iPhone 5™ a year before the ThunderBolt 4G is released, so you can use our new Buy Back™ program to trade in the iPhone 4™ while you are still waiting for the Thunderbolt 4G. We are here to help!

Thank you from your Best Buy Mobile™ Team!

I am thinking the email distro is through bb reward zone. This is the place bb has my email. When I preordered they asked for my phone no and my info came up.

Got my email too from BB. Called the store and they just said a TB would be reserved in my name. However, they still didn't have any dates. They thought it might be next week. It feels to me like it might be out 3/17. Just a lucky guess and the luck of the Irish!

Just adding to the pile of confirmations - I got my e-mail from Best Buy a short while ago...so when I finally resign myself to not caring again..the pot gets all stirred up!

Question for you Jay - If you have pre-ordered at a Best Buy, are they able to "switch" that pre-order to a different store (locally)? Or is that just a whole mess that I shouldn't attempt...? ;)

/hopes rising

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago and BB told me that if the other store has enough to cover their pre-orders and then extras, you can get it from that store and call the original store to cancel your pre-order. They will then add it to their "extra" supplies.

I know you're just passing along info you found so I'm not attacking, but seriously, I could've typed that up myself in Notepad. lol

From the article on the site that first posted the pic:

"FWIW: Yes, that image looks like something that could be faked in about 30 seconds. The original image we cropped it from is much more telling. (Which is why we cropped it.) Does that mean it's right? News at 11."

Interestingly enough, I just got the same email an hour or two ago. Funny thing tho, I returned my Pre-Order gift card because I was annoyed about everything (they totally f'd up my return, and couldn't process it correctly, so I wonder if that is why I still have one "reserved"). I wonder if they will honor my pre-order without a gift card and receipt.

 WTF does that mean?? Was it a memo from Steve Jobs or something? Geez. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I'll ever get into all this hidden meaning/coded clue speak. I feel like Indiana frickin Jones with all this BS!

Indy: *looking at all the scrambled letters on the floor for a clue* "The name of God...Jehovah!"

Henry: *lying on the floor outside the temple* "But in the Latin alphabet, Jehovah begins with an 'I'."

Indy: *stepping on the first letter* "Jayyyyyyy...." *falls through the floor and nearly plummets to his death*
