Yeah I did not do that, I thought I was supposed to do itafter. How do I install rom manager now? I have no android market.

did you do a nandroid backup?(this is where recovery comes in handy as 2 things can be flashed at a time before rebooting, not one)

if you did, go back, at the top of rom manager, flash clockworkmod recov, reboot into recovery, install 2.2.1(aosp) and gapps then reboot

well, normally there would be two options, but since you didnt flash recovery, do THIS
1.) go to the internet for rom manager
2.) download it
3.) flash recovery at the top of rom manager
4.) reboot into recov (turn off phone and hold home+power)
5.) flash aosp and market
6.) download rom manager from market :)

1.)google :)
2.) download
3.) click the download
4.) its gonna block you so click settings then unkown sources then ok(one time thing)
5.) sry! click the download again and click install (if you lost the download, in the browser press menu(button), more, then downloads

found it! but it says I cant download it because I dont have the andoid market installed -_-. Okay how do i go about installing the android market into my phone?

Don't do anything else until you talk to me, let me know when your back around, I will get you up and running, but you have to be patient and follow the exact steps as i will give them to you, do not get ahead of yourself

Download this straight to your phone from your browser

Turn off phone, hold volume down and hit power

Press home for recovery

Go to 'install zip from sd card'

Go to your downloads folder and find the 12/13 gapps zip

Press to flash to install

Then reboot

I Private Messaged you another link to the IRC channel. Give that one a try.

Just be sure to put #androidforums for the channel name. I will see you there.

You don't need that , simply flash the GB Rom and the new Gapps, but before you do anything make sure you create a Nandroid backup of your current Rom for safe keeping incase you mess anything up.

K, about time you took over, LOL :D

I got it covered. I just walked him through making a Nandroid backup, wiping everything, flashing AOSP Android 2.3, and the GApps.

He should be all set now. Good stuff.
