Just want to get some feedback before I do. OK, so I rooted my phone a while back and am running clockwrkmod, set CPU, and the 2.632.9 slayher kernel on the 2.2.1 FRG83D build. I am getting the new update indicator for 2.2.2 and am considering going back to stock ROM and settings because so far I have noticed almost no increased performance after many suggested tweaks to the CPU settings and in some cases there seems to be a lag. The only thing I can say is that the set CPU lets me extend battery life by scaling down at certain times. However as far as I have read to get the new update I will have to go back to stock then re-root and as far as I have seen it doesn't seem worth it really. I am sure there is much functionality I have access to while rooted by I don't use it I guess. The only thing I like is the ability to tether which I haven't used either but like the option. So before I go back I wanted to get some feedback here; am I missing something, some setting, or anything that makes staying rooted worth it or is it perhaps for those who use the additional functionality? Honestly I did it to overclock and get better performance but as I mentioned that has been rather negligible at best. Thoughts?
