how much longer will you keep your Fascinate?

I see mine lasting another 2 years. though i really dont know why i would even upgrade then. the fascinates size seems right to me: not to small and not to big. for games i play PC so thats not a factor.

all in all i think the Fascinate is a pretty good piece of hardware.

That's a good question. I wonder how many Fascinate users jumped to the Thunderbolt, for example. It's there at a great price.

Being honest, thinking out loud here ;): a monkey wrench was thrown into my whole thought processes regarding my next phone: I got a Galaxy Tab. That thing has taken over all of my non-computer web browsing, as well as game playing. It's all about screen size and OS speed. It's amazing.

So, my thoughts on another phone are muddled now, and have nothing to do with wanting a larger screen and faster OS because the Galaxy Tab satisfies those two things. Now it's almost as if a dumb phone would do, as long as it texts nicely (which the Tab does very well, too), emails nicely and has a keyboard I can use nicely.

Droid Pro? Heck, I don't know. I guess the Fascinate is fine for now for a phone. I keep thinking about a Blackberry Bold. Again, I just don't know right now.

Until I renew my contract. I have a tablet now, which serves well as my non-computer device. And, the Fascinate has a big enough screen to serve well for the off-the-cuff internet needs/media player (While commuting)/data modem.

So, since I already have a bigger screen, and fast device (Like Frisco), I'm happy with my Fascinate until my contract is due. Then, maybe I'll do the "wait and see" until a phone comes out I fall in love with, or wait until the Fascinate is dead.

Yeah.. that's pretty much what's going on with me, too. The only difference is that I do contemplate getting my Fascinate to somebody who might need it more than I do now, as I now only use it for calls and most texting and emailing.

The Galaxy Tab is a perfect size for a tab (as opposed to the iPads and many others), so it gets whipped out off and on all day at times I would have reached for my Fascinate for non-phone activities.

It's tough to picture with the intro of all the new tablets, i plan on getting the tab 8.9 or whatever it's called when it comes out, i would have to wait til i get that before i can even determine what i would want in a next phone.

I have an old Blackberry Tour is perfect condition, I'd considered going back to that a few times.. honestly. I enjoy my Fascinate, but I don't think it's the perfect phone. I'll probably toggle back and forth with my blackberry and the fascinate until I can upgrade to the iphone.. but that won't be until next year lol.

until either a) convince the wife to switch to sprint for the evo 3d or b) sgs 2 launches on vzw this summer (hopefully a)

I miss my flip phone and with all the tablets coming out I might go back to a dumb phone and keep a tablet with me.

As soon as I can trade for a TB or I might go all cash and get a Iphone 5 but I don't plan on keeping it a whole year.

Lets see...according to Verizon, I'm able to upgrade my Fascinate on 10/1/2012. So, by my calculations (factoring air speed velocity, whether swallows are laden or unladen, etc...), I will be switching...in 18 months.

We won't be getting the SGS2 becasue an LTE antenna won't fit. We may be getting a simmilar, but larger phone. It won't be out for a while as Samsung hasn't even released the single core Stealth yet.

I'm also skeptical that LTE will fit in slim body of SGS2. That's probably why they are making a bit bulkier Stealth (Droid Charge) for VZW.

I still like it even without LTE and will get it if it comes to VZW. Otherwise, I might switch to AT&T-mobile to get HSPA+ version of it which is surely coming for them.

I've moved onto the TB....battery suxxx, even though some are saying they're seeing great battery life, I just have to doubt a lot of them...a lot of new comers, and alot of peole rolling on 3G because 4G is not up in they're area, and think that they'll both work the same as far as battery life...just a lot of fibing goin on...everyone I know has terrible batt life with this phone, but Jonathan in North Dakota is getting 20 hrs with non stop use...lol! Anyway I just had to vent because I miss my Fascinates battery life. However, I have got to say the TB is deff bad ass, with the giant Super LCD screen, and just insanely crazy 4G speeds...I have to say its a trade off. So yes I have moved on, but I still miss my Fascinate.

I don't like Tbolt either mainly due to poor battery. Maybe that guy in North Dakota is in 3G only area. Lack of HDMI is another shortcoming for me.
