ive looked and can't find a release date anyone know....i waited to long for the EVO and it was hard to find after that. Not going to make the same mistake twice!
 
I agree with Orion. Sprint has a history of launching their top shelf phone the first weekend of June.
 
Here's a question someone may have an answer to! Was the OG EVO in stores to play around with before it actually launched? I wasn't a day one adopter, so I wouldn't know. Bascially, I'd love a chance to play around with it before comitting myself to standing in line (assuming I end up deeming it a worthy upgrade at all).

When I preordered at Best Buy, they had dummy units on display and that was a good month before launch so I'd say no.
 
If it does end up being early June, I wouldn't think it'd be much more than a month til preorders are taken (and possibly giving an exact date).

That's a bummer. Looks like I will end up waiting at least until I can get my hands on one and play with it. Then again, if it's terrible I can always return it within 30 days... :rolleyes:
 
you do realize that that was the release date and price for the original evo, right?

my guess is june 4. obviously. 1 yr. anniversary for the evo.

It's now common knowledge that it's expected sometime during the summer. Like everyone else, hope it is early summer.

I hope June around my B-day. This phone must be pre-ordered, because demand will probably be huge. Took a couple of months for some people to get their pre-ordered Evo's in my area.
 
thats what we expected for the OG evo. i got to the sprint store when they opened and there was 2 people in front of me. got in and got out in 20 minutes.
 
from what I've heard june 3rd for sprint premier gold 4th for sprint premier silver and full national launch the 5th just a rumor.

I can't possibly imagine this. We'll see if it happens, could definitely be interesting if it does.

I mean, lets say they have supply issues like they did with the Evo 4G...and end up with paltry/non existent numbers by national launch time. Would look pretty bad for them.
 
After watching the video that was posted, I have to say I think this might move to a early July release instead of early June.

Hannah in the video kept repeating "very early stages" and "earlier then you think"

I think middle of Summer now. Just my guess.
