What do you do for a living?

I am an IT Student! :)

But... uhh... I am not doing too well at my degree right now :(

I am so confused because I always thought that Vihzel was a lovely young lady as well (and I was secretly a little jealous):p, BUT.......I have heard some nasty rumors that EarlyMon is a girl!;):D

Oh, you bet I am, honey.

Tell you what - c'mon over, we can try on clothes or something. :D :D

Wait... oh yeah... rotflma0

I guess I am pretty late, since this appears to have become a gender identification thread, but here goes anyway.

I am back at school finishing out my Associates in Criminal Justice and Business with the intent on transferring to a 4 year. I am part time working with the elderly. I am an assistant and an occasional caregiver, been doing that on and off since I was 17.

The reason I am in school in my later 20's is that I took nearly 5 years to sell cars. Started out as a salesman and ended as the Internet/Fleet Manager. We had been a 120-140 car a month store and I left when we had a 48 car month. The highs are high, but the lows are too low for me. I passed up a Sales Manager position in the LA area and haven't regretted it at all.

I'm a retail slave (shipping/receiving) 4 days a week and 3 guaranteed days a week (re: non-negotiable) I work for a start-up mobile company gathering contacts and forming valuable networks within them. I'm currently getting into shape so I can send in my paperwork for the Canadian Forces.

training coordinator of occupational safety and health training center, department of occupational safety and health at a well-known safety program in the united states.

basically i am in charge of the equipment usage, maintenance, industry interaction, scheduling, etc...anything dealing with basic operation of the training center...its the main money maker for the department

also, a graduate student in the same department majoring in occupational safety and health emphasizing in industrial hygiene. undergrad was in fire protection and safety technology.

I'm an Accounting major with an Economics minor at the University of Colorado Denver. I worked at Walmart a majority of my undergrad, but I threw in the towel at end of last semester. I couldn't take that terrible place anymore, plus I needed to start applying for internships. Still looking for an internship currently and should be on track to finish my undergrad in December. Just being a poor college student now scooting by on savings and loans.

I'm retired military. My position is mostly horizontal. I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when/if I grow up. At present I am a stay at home dad (The politically correct term is Larry Poppins). I will be starting college in May majoring in Computer Engineering. I think I might want to write Android apps some day.

This is always an interesting topic. My current profession is Civil Engineering/GIS. I do lots of land work, mapping, site planning and design, etc.

Aside from working 40+ hours a week, I'll have my software engineering degree completed in the fall. I can't wait to get this finished up finally.

I've worked in Civil Engineering for the past 6 years, but it's just not something I'm passionate about anymore unlike software and technology.

Who's next?

I'm currently a poor student, as stated in my signature. In the middle of Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. Lord willing I can use co-ops and internships during my degree to gear my way into a good job immediately after graduation. Make that work, pay off what will amount to ~$50K in student loan debt at an extremely rapid rate, bank money, learn to invest, and be able to retire early some way some how. And hopefully find a wife somewhere along the way. In the meantime I'm just hoping I can get enough money from selling a couple of textbooks so I can pay my car insurance and cell phone bill since I'm waiting on a refund from financial aid. :D :(

EDIT: Before all this, I was a full time auto technician. I'm still currently ASE Certified in engine repair, automatic and manual trans/drivetrains, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical, and HVAC. I never stopped loving what I was doing despite mundane days sometimes, but I just wasn't making enough money.
