I think the 3D potential is cool, but if that was the ONLY improvement, I would be keeping the EVO 4G.
I feel bad for those stuck with an EVO for the next 1.6-1.8 months, because you can say it till your blue in the face that you don't want it, but you DO want this phone.
so all of this ranting going on about how the middle class wont upgrade blah blah blah.. probably only applies to you, yourself, and a small percentage of smart phone users across the nation.. when people want to upgrade, their gonna upgrade.. regardless of their social class, age, or gender
I believe the EVO had a lot of buzz about the phone last year around this time. I don't think anyone knows that the 3D is coming out ...http://www.tipb.com/2011/03/31/apple-3d-camera-technology-iphone/comment-page-1/#comment-425822

It was displayed and demonstrated at the recent CTIA and is definitely coming out.
Ole bean I was referring to just general public knowledge.
Well, in that case, I don't know how you know that applies.
For people in the market for smartphone that are not making impulse purchases, it doesn't take them long to go from uninformed to informed.
And as this thread is discussing people upgrading their existing Android phones, many with Evos such as yourself, everyone here does know it exists.
Everyone who takes the time to post in this forum doesn't even make a dent in the buyers market for smartphones. Most people have never heard of this website.
Ok, thanks.
So - are you upgrading to the Evo 3D?
Just got my EVO a few months ago. So I do not need a new phone. A smartphone is a want ole bean, not a necessity to exist in life.

IMOP I think Sprint is hurting the brand name a little calling the 3D an EVO.
Actually, not to make phone customers sound stupid, but I'm sure quite a few will see and/or hear "3D" and have that translate to "3G".
They might start thinking it's a downgrade for those who don't want to pay for or can't use 4G. You have to remember most people are not tech savvy and really have to have things spelled out for them when it comes to electronics. I think some manufacturers actually rely on this to sell their phones, but I don't think Sprint or HTC would want this for the Evo 3D.

Agreed, my dumbass iPhone using freind can't get it through his thick skull, that "iPhone 4" is the 4th generation iPhone, and has nothing to do with 4th generation mobile data.
