2.2 upgrade is official

I just spoke with a live metro pcs rep online and she told me that the update is already available that you need to take your phone into any corporate store and they will update it, I asked her to provide a link so that I could do it myself and she told me taking it to the store was the only way to get the update, I took a picture of the chat log if you would like to see it or do not believe me let me know and i will upload it.
 
That online rep knows not what she speaks. If you tell her any question related to the upgrade she says yes its released then soon after she gives you a number to call .-. Its bullshit. The 2.2 for the original ascend is not yet released
 
you really should check your info cuz it seems as though you are assuming, i just called a store and they told me they cant do it but i can take it to a corporate store and they will do it so ill be updated to 2.2 and you continue to pour your negativity all over everybody else who isnt willing to look into it for themselves.
 
Sorry for sounding like a dick in my last post but it is released and i just think you should look into it before saying its not released yet
 
No, the problem is, everybody has made claims such as this. Have you CALLED a corporate store and verified this? Have you noticed that there is still no mention of it on Metro's website? The Taoput Ascend doesn't count, because that is a phone with 2.2 on it, not a verifiable upgrade available to current Ascend owners. I would suggest you actually go to a corporate store and find out if they legitimately have it, and then post your findings.

thats called passing the buck because they dont have a clue wtf they are talking about. ;)
 
k well i just wanted to share what i was told not debate it, I am selling my ascend and gettig the optimus anyways.
 
Det right now your the stupid one to believe them. When the update comes it will be posted on the official thread. Until then dont believe anything you hear from people who once called the 2.2 update 2.5 -.-
 
The Optimus has a slightly faster CPU and it has a dedicated GPU. From people I have spoken to who have run ROMs on the Optimus V (Virgin Mobile), it will flat out destroy an Ascend. Of course, that's running a ROM, I don't know about stock form.

try dialing *228 ;)
 
lol when i call when im out of connection it takes me to verizion roaming but when i have signal it says cannot process, try again later
 
No problems here, gave me the 6 options, and option 6 doesn't count because the option is "Something Else", I kid you not.
