1700 mAh Extended battery duo!!!

Ya, its weird that the batteries we got are different colors...(i got a red and black), But a couple days in now, and it certainly seems like the batteries last longer then the stock one. At the very least, they last just as long as my stock one, and if nothing else, i now have 3 batteries and a wall charger. So im excited either way.
 
I am pretty sure the 2 different colored labels on the batteries is by design so you can tell them apart. Makes it easy to keep track of which one is charged and which is not.

I'll post an update in a bit but also feel the 1700 is an improvement over OEM. One thing is for sure though, the 4g radio is a huge battery hog compared to 3g or Wi-Fi. Big difference in battery life being in 4g the last 2 days with the 1700.

This is exactly why. He did the same with the 1800's IIRC
 
So for those who have 1700 batts....after a few days of use what are your thoughts? Is there a descernable difference?
 
i can certainly say i am getting better life, probably 3 hours or so...i will be able to give you a better idea though after a few more days
 
I did not post an update Monday because I ended up plugging the phone into my computer to load some music and doing so skewed my numbers. Then yesterday I failed to reboot the phone after charging it to clear and restart the usage numbers so it was an accumulative usage over 2 charges and 2 days of use.

Anyways, the 1700 on 4g the last 2 days was an improvement over stock for sure. Not a big improvement but then again, the 1700 battery is only a 21% increase in mAh (if its truly 1700mAh). I was able to get atleast an hour more of awake time on 4g using the 1700 on Monday and Tuesday and a few more hours of Up Time.

Today I used the 4g LTE widget for the first time and only used the 3g radio. It saved some juice but not as much as I thought it would.

Here's today's numbers (with 4g radio turned off).

Battery = 35% remaining
Up Time = 12:15
Awake Time = 3:35

3 email apps each pushing an email account in real time (25 or so emails today)
A few internet visits (10 minutes total)
A few facebook visits (5 minutes total)
A few phandroid visits (10 minutes total)
About 3.5 hours of streaming music through bluetooth headphones
4 pictures without flash
Over an hour of voice calls
10 or so text messages
Did not log into Skype today
No Wi-Fi today (off)
Screen brightness at 30%

Display = 45%
Voice Calls = 36%
Cell Standby = 6%
Phone Idle = 5%
Media Server = 3%
Android System = 3%
Android OS = 2%

I think its safe to say that this battery gave me 10% to 20% more juice over the OEM. So if your considering the purchase, calculate how many hours your currently getting with the OEM battery and add 15% percent to that number. That should help you decide if its worth the $45 to you.

For me, I think it was a good buy. I get a bit more juice and have a 2nd 1700 battery charged up in case I need it. Not to mention the OEM battery available as a 3rd option.

I think this will be it for my testing of these batteries. Don't want to start sounding repetitive. Hope my information has helped a few members out. And good luck if you decide to make the purchase.
 
I went to work today and right before I went to work I swapped out my batteries. WOW After 5 hours of work I was at 95% battery so after 5 hours of standby it only went down 5%. My stock battery usually went down 20-25% after being standby for 5-6 hours. I get great 4g coverage at work.

For the love of God, I really do not know what is up with verizon and my home area. Sometimes I get great service and right now I have no 4g signal, I dont know what the hell is wrong around my house. I work like 5 miles out and I get epic service at work, it never disconnects. I am suppose to be in the dead center of 4g.

At home my stand by times suck because I loose signal without even knowing it unless I pick up my phone. I have seen that LTE signal is very flaky, you could be five feet away and have great signal and move five feet and it is a dead zone. You get out of a building it works great.
 
To describe my usage:
No live wallpaper, GPS only on when needed, screen brightness set on low, background data on for gmail, facebook, weather and news, moderate texting, light internet browsing, some youtube usage, facebook app, gmail app, and 4G coverage



OEM 1400 MHz battery performance
Up time = 5 hrs Awake time = 2.5 hrs <-- consistent best case

After 1 full charge/discharge cycle - 1700 MHz battery performance
Up time = 9:02:50 Awake time = 3:26:40 <-- additional navigation usage for 30 mins!

Anyway, this is my very first result and I need to report back with some long term use data, but this is good news for people chomping at the bit for a review. Stay tuned
 
A question to those folks that have purchased this item from
This seller. When you guy receive this item, those the battery
State 1700 or 1500 mah?

I've seen people get the 1500 batteries which state its capable
Of 1700?

Both of mine indicate 1700, though who knows how accurate that is. Like i said before, if nothing else, they last just as long as my stock battery did.

The label that's wrapped around the battery which is printed for HTC express reads 1700mAh. No mention of 1500mAh anywhere on the label.

Not that it means much, it could be wrapped around the same battery he sells as a 1500mAh for the myTouch 4g.

Would be nice to be sure that we are not getting scammed and sold 1500mAh batteries for twice the price with a 1700mAh label. With that said, these batteries are an improvement over OEM and it does seems like more then just a 100mAh improvement.

This sounds like more of a battery calibration or bump charge type of issue. I've also had my stock battery stay at 100% for a few hours of standby after bump charging. I have two different external battery chargers, and three different batteries. Have not yet figured out how the circuitry and calibration works, or is supposed to work.
 
For those who have some question about the Mah of these batteries, for those who own them - there is a widget on the marketplace called Battery Monitor Widget by 3c06 .The moment you open this widget it tells you the total Mah of the current battery and how much Mah is left.

This could help to shed some light on the true Mah of these 1700 batteries. It is currently reading my stock battery as 1350 Mah. I am interested to know what these other batteries will read as.

Would love to see what the 1700 batteries are showing really.
 
I will try this out in a few hours when I get home and report back. I have the oem battery and a 1700 at home and both are fully charged. I'll test them both.
 
I have a 1700 and just got this. It reads 1350 so either we've all been ****ed or this app is wrong.

My stock battery also says 1350 mAh and my HTC extended life battery says 2750 mAh. I suspect the number is hard-wired into the battery and is not a measure of actual capacity, which I would expect to vary moreso over time and less so even between individual batteries when new.
 
I think someone needs to put in another known mah battery like the 2750 and see what the rating shows. When digging around in that app I noticed there is an option to change the rated mah in the program so its possible its preset to something.
