Whats your favorite custom rom for the HTC Desire and why?

Sorry guys this was suppose to be a poll but I mad a mistake. It wont let me edit it or delete it to make it a poll now.

Whats your favorite custom rom for the HTC Desire and why? I do apologize if you dont see your custom ROM listed. I am not familiar with all of them I just tried to choose the ones that looked the most common. If your ROM is not listed please indicate which one it is that you use. Thanks in advance.

GingerVillain
Why?
because it is based on the latest version of android,it is very fast,it includes the ability to underclock and overclock the processor, can do ota updates, themes and mods.
thats all i can think of at the mo :)

It's not my favourite, but I am just pointing out Miui AU is probably much bigger than Miui XJ.

For me, in terms of all round day to day use, my favourite is LeeDroid (especially the new Gingerbread version).
In terms of performance though, GingerVillain.

But I am still a sucker for sense roms :)

Torn between LeeDroid (very stable and fast 2.2 or very good stable 2.3)
And Gingervillian - very fast and stable.
Trying LeeDroid 3 (gingerbread Sense) at the mo and impressed that most things just work as they should might not go back to Gingervillian now.
LeeDroid 2.4 is utterly brilliant for a Froyo Sense ROM

Voted Ginger Villain because I was using that for about 2 months and it is a brilliant ROM :)

Now trying out Oxygen and it's just as stable and fast as GV, but the battery life is a lot lot better, so Oxygen will probably be my favourite.. but I only flashed it last night so it's too early to tell :P

I've only ever used Ginger Villain.

I probably should give other ROMs a go but it bugs me to have t to re-tweak things after a wipe.

GV is my favorite, because it is light and yet full of tweaks from CM.
Oxygen is even lighter, but it misses for me the frequent updates and CM settings.
The sense ROMs (like Leedroid) are nice, but their performance can't match vanilla ROMs.

I posted Gingervillain, but that's only because It's the only one I ever got to work, other than Oxygen, which didn't have CM settings... I never got CM working on my Desire, but it runs like a dream on my Desire Z.

Currently Redux V1.1.2. reasons - not full of bloatware, very quick, stable and the battery life is excellent. I ditched the default launcher in favour of Zeam. Very snappy to use. Been running Redux now for a few weeks and not had to reboot it, not FC's. No delay on calls or echo, no wifi issues. Everything just works and it's very fast. Not a heavy user of the phone typically a dozen txts a day, couple of levels of angry birds, bit of geocaching. Battery lasting 2 to 3 days.

I am going to vote for MIUI probably cos It offers something different from other roms Ive tried. Its stable, fast and runs like a dream on my Desire.

I agree!! GV Rocks :D

Don't get excited about speed. Yes its quick, but no faster than GV. Homescreen transition on redux with LPP not as smooth due to not having the option to change VM heap size.

It's all ready history.
Apps2SD+ doesn't seem to work, after I had installed my apps but no updates I had 50MB left.
Even moving all my SD apps to SD that I could (didn't have to do this in any other ROM) I still had less than 60MB left.

I looks ok, it runs ok but not worth it when GV or even LeeDroid goes on and runs as well with a lot more functionality.

Edit:
Reflashing LeeDroid GB 3.02 now.

I do. I flash all my zips at once. But I would expect it would work eithe rway, so long as you have enough space to install all your apps.

It probably rebuilds dalvik on first boot anyway
