Root [RUU] 4-18-2011 | New Rom + Radio 1.16.00.402 FIXES!

This is a full ruu, and is likely the first OTA update. I have removed a lot of identifying info out of it however, and the version numbers will appear as stock.

Fresh off the boat from a source, travels many a mile :). I was requested to remove as much version info as possible, but others will likely post the true version info shortly. This is unsigned, you must have s-off to flash. Backup first, verify the md5sum first. This will wipe your phone.

This will upgrade your radio, it is technically possible fore Verizon to see you radio firmware version. New roms may require this radio update to use them properly. This will have no boot animation sound on the first flash.

These roms are based off this RUU, and you can flash it over top to enjoy non stock rom, but with theses fixes.

Works for me.. several roms dropped at the same time so it's happy flashing.

I added a link to your xda thread to my Thunderbolt ROM Thread earlier this morning. I hope this is ok with you?
 
OK. I am rooted, I downloaded the file, renamed the file PG05IMG.zip moved the file to the root directory of the sdcard(in ROManager). I go into HBOOT and it quickly runs through the load process but I get errors "wrong zipped image" ect. then dumps me back to the fastboot/bootloader menu. Help!

it is the das_bamf ram,just like the other versions. only 1.5 is based on the above,and will have the same fixes. there is a link in the das bamf thread for the radio-you must name it PG05IMG.zip and flash it thru hboot,as the radio is not currently flashable in recovery.

so to get best of both worlds:
download 1.5 version of choice(remix for me :D) and the radio. rename radio to PG05IMG.zip and place both on sd card. enter hboot and update the radio. reboot,go back to recovery and flash 1.5 :)

sounds like rom manager effed it up... id try it the "old school" way... download with pc,transfer to sd card via usb,then try again. it worked fine for me this morning :)

Did this update last night before I flashed Bamf 1.5 Remix. Awesome stuff, thanks jcase.

I'm still a noob and besides the rooting process, this is the first time I've updated anything in the hboot(bootloader) mode and it went very well.:o

sorry for the noob question, I just got my TB on Fri & rooted it (came from the Incredible), I just installed & got the TB to the way I want it. Since this new RUU/Rom update will wipe everything, if I back up everything with Titanium will I be able to restore everything I have set up once I flash this new RUU/Rom and install Titanium? Please verify, thanks!
 
Hey guys, I downloaded just the radio from the Das BAMF 1.5 Remix thread on XDA. It already came named as PG05IMG.zip. When I went to move it on to my SD Card, there was already a file there with the same name. Is that the old radio? What do I do with it?

delete it or move it to another folder...that's the file you used to root...
experts correct me if I'm wrong. :)

^^ you are correct sir. the old file was supposed to be deleated after you first rooted so you wouldnt have to ask that lol... ;)
