Can't copy files to SD card via FTP?

Hey guys,

I'm new to Android, so apologies in advance if this is a noob question.

I have a HTC wildfire, I set up an ftp server and then can connect to it from my Mac over wifi using finder ("connect to server")

I can navigate to the SD card folders, see them all but can't seem to copy files from my mac over to the SD card. Am trying to copy some text files over to a flashcard app folder.

I think somehow the folders / SD card are set to read permission.

Anyone know how I can fix it?

Mac OS X 10.2 or Later: Cannot Copy to FTP Servers in the Finder

Mac Finder forces read-only, even if you have write access permission from the server. You'll need a third party mac FTP app.

Pretty lame if you ask me.

Ah, thanks.. wouldn't have thought of that. Will try out another ftp client. Cheers
