Root Help with flashing gingervillain after starburst?

I'm on starburst right now for data2sd. I wanna change to gingervillain 2.1. This is the first time I'm flashing for the second time. What all should I do? I did a nandroid backup..then what? Also what about data2sd?

You would need to do a full wipe.

If you really want data2sd, you'll need to follow the data2sd thread by sibere on xda

After you install GV, do not run the DT script. It is only for a2sd+.

Good point. The data2sd script will remove the DT script though.

okay so i flash gv..then without rebooting i flash the a2sd killer for gb and then the data2sd reinstaller?

you guys don't use data2sd? what's wrong with it?

I used it for a long while during the early days. Was very laggy. performance hugely hindered. Also data loss was a huge risk as AOSP roms do not unmount /data cleanly.

Its supposed to be better now but it just isn't worth the hassle.

I don't run anything on SD-EXT anymore. not even a2sd+

so what do you do for memory? i find data2sd really smooth..takes a while to boot up, but very good otherwise.

My internal storage is 360MB. I have over 100 apps and around 150MB free space.

I still stick to a2sd+, because it never fails me and works across many ROMs.
Got all the apps I wanted and still 100MB free.

didn't work..got stuck at htc screen..did a nandroid restore and back to where i was before..now what?
