thanks for your help. i gave up after i tried to use root explorer to impliment the generic one for froyo and i couldn't reboot without wiping

It's a services.jar mod, you can't use one from froyo on GB.....if you do, expect to bootloop.

Do you know if it will work with the first rooted build of gb? Or is it only for. 588?

Many devs quit on the throttle hack because people were abusing the hell out of it. Hitting upwards of 40GB in a month. I have read the arguments about the unlimited plan and should be used as such, however the network simply wasn't designed for this and it hurts us all when people go overboard. Not saying that you will, just stating why it is so scarce right now.

I'm not tethering or anything, I usually hit about 12-15 gigs per month
