Root [ROM] GB-CMod7-Beta

I say you repackaged the rom with all the fixs if you can reppard thatt would be epic awesome :-) I can't wait for the update

I ask that people remember that I did not make this rom I only ported it so alot if issues have to do with the rom itself and not the porting. I don't mind the bugs I'm just stoked to have gingerbread!!! I have very few oissues with the rom only had one random shut down.can't say thanks enough for getting this rom running!!
 
is there an updated cm rom for the Optimus m now that has fixed sms and USB? I got a Guy who says he's made one for my phone with a oc able kernal wants 50 to flash for me. I'm not a computer noob but this my first smart phone. I had my buddy root my phone for me but only because he's got a killer computer and mines in storage and my lappy is down. I did all the legwork for him,he just followed directions. anyway I feel semi confident I can flash my own phone

i posted a HD video on how to backup your rom and flash a new one..its in the all things root section of this forum.:) its very easy and you should have NO problems.

I highly doubt he has an overclockable kernel. I would be very leery.

Edit; also what Kelso said. Its very easy to do by yourself. Save yourself 50 bucks
 
So I flashed back over to my Gingerbread nandroid backup and spent some time this morning confguring my apps and restoring some Titanum backups. Besides the known issues, it's fantastic. Even with my ADW launcher and Live Wallpaper running, the device is running much snappier than before.

GPS seems to be working fine from the get-go but my Fancy Widget home plugin wasn't able to locate using aGPS, but placed me correctly in San Jose immediately after turnng on GPS. I wonder if there's a correlation to the lack of the location indicator to the strange GPS behavior. In my quest to hide the constant location indicator from 2.2.1, I seem to recall coming across several posts on the web indicating that disabling the indicator may affect the location abilities of the phone. Any thoughts on that?

Also, any news on the graphics system?
 
I would love for the on off animations to be working. Many thanks again to Reppard and all of us here acting civil as well as bug reporting.

Yeah its totally wonky. Mine doesn't really work. If I open google maps, it will locate me then relocate me to North Carolina. In other words it finds me at first then says in in some forest in NC. It's the only bug I care about right now. Hope we find a fix for the location bugs :( Thanks for all your hard work Reppard.
 
Location seems to be working now for me after a fresh install then following your instructions about turning location off in the browser and keeping only location by Wifi and Mobile Networks. But the actual GPS is not working.

I've done some research and it seems to be an issue with some cm7 Roms. I will figure it out though. Some good news is I've seemed to make some headway as far as battery drain is concerned. Let your battery charge to 100% then reboot into recovery and wipe battery stats. Also I will included an app called battery calibrator in the next update. These two things seem to have improved my battery life greatly.
 
So I found a few bugs that i dont think were mentioned yet.im not 100 percent sure if they have but just a little insight.

Landscape mode is verry buggy (has a hard time switching from back and forth)

SHOOT ME screen shot app's SHAKE MODE does NOT work.ONLY the "YELL" feature.

Doppler Radar does not work..dont know if thats due to gps problems or what not because MAPS works.

while phone is plugged into an audio source such as car stereo or headphones,the phone will NOT pick up audio from the phones microphone.

i love this rom and will never switch back.lol just wanna give some details on the bugs i found.will post more if i remember any i forgot or find any new ones.THANKS REPPARD!
