Not sure but he said the 4 major carriers are getting it. He said HTC wants to release all of them at the same time and carriers are bickering about when they want to release them individually. He said target date was September some time but possibly sooner. So I'm holding out until then. I love the Evo3D specs but dont need or want all the 3d stuff on the phone.
Well he was the regional manager. He hooked my GF up with an Evo for 50 bucks on the spot. I was gonna pre order the Evo 3D as well. He talked me out of it. Not sure he'd make up some jazz to talk me out of a in the bag sale. when I said I wasnt sure if I should preorder or not because I wasnt interested in the 3D stuff. He stopped me dead in my tracks and said "wait". Then thats when he told me what he did.
Yup, if he' wrong oh well. It doesnt hurt anything. I can always get an Evo 3D then if nothing better comes out. Then some of the bugs should be worked out.

According to him it's not an iPhone but another HTC phone. If it's an iPhone I guarantee I wont be buying it. iOS is not for me. Android however is. I love the 3D specs but the 3D part isnt for me. So if something doesnt come out with very similar or hopefully better specs then I'll likely look to the 3D.
That could be a possibility.
Well I made it pretty clear I like HTC phones and Android and he even had an Evo in his pocket. He basically confirmed to me it was an HTC Phone without saying yes directly but when I said I sure hope it's an HTC phone. He looked at me and said "You wont be disappointed." He even talked about a new Blackberry device that supposed to be coming out as well. Basically he just let me know there were more options coming down the pipe. The only thing I didnt get around to asking was Android or Windows. I assume Android since that's what our whole conversation centered around.
I said I hope it's an HTC phone. That's when he looked at me and said "You wont be disappointed." That being said he didnt specifically say HTC but when questioned he gave me a round about answer that I took as a yes because I talked to him for over and hour while doing the things we needed to do. Not to mention our whole conversation centered around the Evo 4G and the 3D. I think he could tell I'm an Android guy and not apple. Also like I said he also had an Evo for his phone.
No offense taken. Only time will tell. If it's not an HTC phone then I'll be buying the E3D around then. I can handle my Evo 4g for a while longer.
OK, so I went in to the local (corporate) Sprint store (Killeen TX), to pre-order this bad boy. I had a bit of a newb trying to do his very first pre-order, so the manager was helping him out, and we got to talkin. He ALMOST told me when it was coming out, but said the info wouldn't leave the store, but I told him that word for release on the forums was in June, more than likely around Father's Day, since there had been no official announcement as yet. He said Father's Day was very close, but that's all he could say (without having to kill me). So, barring anything going wrong badly, I suspect it wil be released 17 JUN, right before Father's day. Oh, and the manager said HE'S been playing with it, so it may be the manager's (who have a bigger stake keeping their jobs) have been the advocates, and that's partly why it's been so quiet. Just glad to know it's soon!
