Root [HELP!] Stuck in fastboot mode

sammyz

LG Whiz Kid
I have an LG Optimus M and I some how got into fastboot mode and no matter what I do I can't get out of it. Please help. Yes it is rooted. I was messing around with it, may have pressed something I shouldnt have I also found out that if you press Power+Back+Volume Down it just stays on the LG logo forever and doesn't load or boot. Hard Rest won't work by using Power+Home+Volume Down, just goes back to fastboot mode no matter how long I press the combination. Also I'm running Win 7 64-bit, drivers wont work, Windows finds "Android". It downloads drivers from windows but wont install them. I have installed the LG drivers from LG btw.

Fixed USB driver issue, comes up as "Fastboot interface (Google USB ID)"
Now able to use fastboot from pc terminal and tell it commands, don't know exactly what to do yet.
Typed in "fastboot continue", phone says "ERROR bad page : #####"
I think I need a Stock ROM.

i have a lg optimus m and i was messing with rom manager and i press something, dont remember what... after this my phone started reboting, and that was it. ever since that it turns on but is stuck on the lg screen logo any suggestion please help!!!!!!

OK so i have an optimistic m, rooted with 2.2.1. I stupidly put rom manager on my phone and flashed clockwork mod and now. I am stuck in fast boot mode. When i hook it to my pc( windows XP) it registers as android advanced devise. I tried several different drivers ad nothing works. I also tried running the fastboot terminal but it only comes up on screen for a second and then goes away.please help me out here. I not new at this and should have known better but as you know"curiosity killed the phone" and if you can help me please remember to give me baby steps. II am fairly tech savy but to a limited degree. The only kernals i understand are yellow and edible

Mmm did you registered the dll correctly? Because I said on the post to go to my root guide to get LGNPST working. If you followed that guide make sure that you dragged the Ms690.dll on top of the reggie.exe. if you had no errors after dragging the dll then you should see the dll. If you still don't see it send me a pm. And I will tell you what to do.

When I bought my Motion yesterday, I clicked "privacy" then "restore factory settings" on my Optimus M, as I was giving it to a friend. It went into fastboot mode, I asked the metro girl that was selling me my Motion and she said "don't worry, it'll only be like that for about 5 minutes".

Today my Optimus M is STILL in fastboot mode every time time I power it up, and it won't turn off via the power button (I have to remove the battery to get it off). Also, it stays on with the screen lit the entire time until the battery dies.

Today I took it to Metro, they tried to do a "hard reset" and said that it won't come out of fastboot mode. They suggested calling LG, but I have a feeling they are going to send me to hell since the phone was uninsured and I'm 2 months past the one year warranty period.

Please help, I want to give this phone to my friend so they can have a nice phone instead of the crummy flip phone they now have.

Actually sammyz I unrooted my OM a fee months back so it was basically stock. I only posted in here because I didn't want to make a new thread, sorry!

blaxican mentioned joinedy. He has a thread here to help Optimus M users out of fast boot: http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/382525-guide-get-out-fastboot-mode.html. I had to use it twice, and it worked well. One word of advice though, I couldn't get it to work from a laptop with 32bit XP. I went to my home computer with Windows 7 64 bit and it worked.

You were not. Otherwise it would have not went into fastboot........
They left a custom recovery behind.
