Yes, you can return your gift-card (Pre-Order) at BB if you want to and get a full refund. This has been confirmed by a few different people on this forum (various other threads).

Yup. I did that with my card. Returned within 100 days guarantees refund. Bring your receipt just in case.

I got the email too this am and I got a text about it just now too. I just called my Sprint store and asked about the buy from Sprint online June 21st and asked if they were allowed to sell to preorder people maybe a day or so ahead of time and he said no it will be on the 24th. I already bought a Sprint giftcard but I would rather order online cause the warehouse is here in my city and I would get the phone the very next day I always do. Can you use a Sprint giftcard over the phone to Sprint I wonder? Oh well 21st to 24th no big deal to me since I have another EVO to hold me over. I also have to return my EVO and pay the restocking fee so I'll just do an even exchange on the 24th. I have a 50 dollar gift card and I paid 150 for my new EVO so returning my EVO and gift card I'll be good to go except for the restocking fee.

Oh yeah didn't think of that. But if I can preorder on the 1st and get it the 22nd two days early to me isn't a big deal since I have my EVO plus I need to take back this EVO and pay the restocking fee. So all that should be billed to account is the 100 bucks cause there wont be instant like I got yesterday it will be mail in which I hate but oh well. Since I know I'm guaranteed one at the store I'll just wait till the 24th. That should be my off day from work cause I will have to work that Sat & Sun so hopefully I can get it all set up and ready to go on my off day.

If you can't use the gift card for the phone online, then use the gift card to pay your bill.

I was told by the sprint rep the gift card can only be used towards phone or accessory purchases. I specifically asked can it be used towards a bill and the answer was no. That's only reason I didn't preorder. Now I'm glad I didn't.

Is there a way to pre-order through Sprint to have it shipped on the 21st? Or do we have to wait until 12:01am on the 21st to actually place the order?

So I have been busy this morning and haven't seen the news yet until a couple minutes ago. I have a couple questions if anyone knows...

1: Have they announced the full retail price?
2: If you have a family plan and the primary line is a premiere gold, can you order a phone for each line on the 21st or only for the primary line?
3: Is it confirmed that they won't be doing instant rebates online on the 21st?
4: Is there still no activation fee if you buy online?

1: Have they announced the full retail price?
Everything I've seen has shown $600 as full price. I'm thinking the discounts will be $150 upgrade, $100 instant rebate and $150 mail in/instant rebate.

2: If you have a family plan and the primary line is a premiere gold, can you order a phone for each line on the 21st or only for the primary line?
No confirmation yet.

3: Is it confirmed that they won't be doing instant rebates online on the 21st? Not confirmed, see above for my guesstimate.

4: Is there still no activation fee if you buy online? In the playbook that was leaked a week or so ago it stated sprint would begin charging online activations after 6/6 I believe. With that said I haven't paid an activation fee since I've been with Sprint. I usually just call in and ask for it to be waived and they do it.

See below

Additionally, Sprint Premier customers will have the opportunity to purchase HTC EVO 3D online three days before the national launch, while supplies last. Qualifying customers will receive an email on June 21, or they can log on to their account at www.sprint.com on June 21, click

1. Not sure about the retail price. But what I'm reading is there will be just an instant rebate to bring the price to $199. Nothing says mail in rebate.....yet.

2. The premier status is tied to the line. If line #2 is not premier, you don't get the benefit. At least that is my opinion.

3. The only printed things I've seen from Sprint is that it is $199 after "instant rebate". Nothing i've seen from Sprint says anything about a MIR. Keep our fingers crossed.

4. If there is an activation fee, I always get them to waive it.

Sprint told me yesterday in store and when I called customer care that they don't waive activation anymore. He said it cost them to do something to your new phone and that it couldn't be waived. And I just got off the phone with Sprint again and was told the same thing. That they recently just changed there policy. I am not a 100% sure about when ordering online. I used to always get free activation cause I got discount through my work and then they stopped but I always got customer care to waive it and now they said they can't. But he did tell me when I go and return my EVO for the 3D and pay the restocking fee since I am using my upgrade I won't have to pay 18 bucks again for the 3D since I just paid it so that's good.

They can say what they want. I will ask for the activation fee to be waived. If they say no, I say "OK, I don't want this phone anymore and want to exercise my 30 day offer. Send me a shipping label".

Usually changes their minds.

But I think you can do it online for free anyway. Last year I tried to do my EVO online and there was an issue and it directed me to call a CSR. There was no charge for the CSR since I originally started the process online and their system was messed up.

I'd try chatting with a Sprint rep via their website online and try to get them to remove it. From what I've read by other people from other threads on this forum, they've said that they'll almost always waive the activation fee when you work with a rep via chat, rather then over the phone. This would make sense, the reps on the phone don't have power to do much of anything, and you typically don't get anywhere until you escalate and talk to a manager or something. The online chat reps must have more authority then do the call center reps based on how they're able to do more things then the call center reps appear to be able to do.

It's worth a shot, I plan on doing that when I get my phone activated and will report how it goes.

Everyone has kind of covered this so far but it is worth pointing out that the fine print at the bottom of the email we got says "HTC EVO 3D $399.99 (two-year price) - $200 (instant savings) =$199.99 (final price)" So it is just an instant savings of 200.00. Probably add another 100.00 to this to get the no contract price (my guess since they used to do the Mail in rebates for 100.00 to get to the two-year price).

I posted this activation info in another thread, but too lazy to find it and link it. Quicker to just attach it again.

Also for pricing wirefly.com has $600 posted. Not sure if you can buy outright from them though. Sprint is not confirming the full price though.

I could be wrong but Don't Best Buy and WireFly and other Sprint resellers always show that off contract price at around 100.00 more? Best Buy has two new webpages up for it. One talking about the pre-order and one showing coming soon with a price of 599.99

Sprint HTC EVO 3D
HTC - EVO 3D Mobile Phone - Black (Sprint) - APX515CKT

Also very curious that Best Buy says it has 4gigs of internal memory and can support up to 32 gig micro sd card but no card is included.

The BB site also says it only has 2 cameras, one 5MP and a secondary 1.3MP. The person that filled out the webpage probably didn't fill it out correctly or didn't have the right info from the start.

Edit: The really interesting thing that I saw was there is a $200 ETF. I would have to skim through the contract, but if you were to go on contract and immediately break it, you would pay $400 + activation fee for the phone and be out of contract. I wonder if they have safeguards against that, because that is cheaper than retail.

Granted they missed a few things. Again I just find it curious that they took the time to say not included although you could also read that as them stating that they are not including a 32 gig card. Who knows.

If it doesn't have a SD card in it when I get it from BB, I'm going to mention that. Granted, I'm transferring my 16GB card from my DX over, but I would like to put something back in the DX to keep using it as a toy.

I did an echat with sprint this morning and your question #2 was one of the questions I asked. Anyway the rep told me that you can order 3vo's on the 21st for the other lines as well with just the main line being premier.

There is an early termination fee after 30 days. So you would have to keep the phone for over 30 days and then cancel your service. Keep in mind the month of service you would have to pay for and the taxes, etc and it isn't really worth the headache. If you canceled before 30 days you would have to return the phone or pay full retail for it.

. Just watched Wirefly's demo of the Evo 3d and they confirmed that it comes with an 8gig card.

Isn't that sort of correct? While there are two 5MP cameras, you can only use one when taking 2D pictures so effectively you have a single 5MP camera on the phone.

It is somewhat true. They never mention that the phone has two cameras for 3d capture, so I feel that they are not providing sufficient information. Besides, we all know that it is some guy that is given a sheet and told to make a new product page.

Glad this got pushed back to 6/24. I'll let all of you get it and see what kinds of problems arise if any and then purchase mine a month later. Things better be in stock!
