HTC Gingerbread update.

I finally upgraded to 2.3.3 a couple of days ago after id gotten back from holiday. Everything seemed fine, even the wifi is working fine.

Tried to text my friend this morning, but the message wouldnt send. As I was in work, I figured it might be the network, but thought it strange as everyone else was still getting my texts.
Tried again this evening, and still wont send!! Just tells me 'please wait..' then goes back to composing the message grr!!

Had a look in the known issues thread, and see this problem is listed there where you cant send to some contacts. Great..so the person I text the most, I now cant text unless I install an app as a workaround, which I dont particularly want to do as I like the built in default messaging grrr..

Every time I 'upgrade' software for a phone or computer, something happens!

try switch off ur phone then take ur battery and restart ur phone, if that also doesnt fix then try factory reset (this will erase all ur esisting apps and settings and you will have to reinstall them again)

Settings -> System -> About Phone -> Software Information. It should give you the sense version there.

I don't think it did on Froyo though, so if it doesn't, you'll most likely be on 2.0.

i am running 2.3.3 and Sense is 2.1
still not working properly though :-(
 
Here's the thing I had ging on my unbranded DHD on Orange had to get it replaced on the insewrance phone came back branded...... Do I miss gingerbread.....Not really
 
Does anyone have any information when the gingerbread update will be available to orange branded desiresire hd in the uk? its ridiculous, unbranded, vodafone and t-mobile all have it

The ONLY problem I have found so far is that I can't turn off the weather sound effects. The option is missing from T-Mobile branded DHDs.

I have not encountered any other problems so far. For me it's a big improvement over Froyo. It's more responsive too.

same here, waiting for the update for a UK Orange branded DHD, they were really slow for the 2.1 update for the Hero as well so not expecting it to arrive anytime soon.
 
Got my 2.3.3 from HTC in May 2011, on my HD. One problem is that text selection is messed up in Dolphin HD 5.0.1 browser, when I touch spot on webpage and hold to get box offering select text, it doesn't show selected text at that position, but instead at top of page. Any ideas?
 
I got my DHD unbranded from Carphone Warehouse, and updated to 2.3 last week May, seems ok, wifi seems easier, gingerbread keyboard, all ok.
 
and finally, this time i clicked check for updates not expecting much and it only says yes ! Downloading now. happy days

Get yourself the latest dolphin hd beta version (I'm on v5.1.0) select text works! :)
