Root [ROM] [THEME] Sense Rom Optimus M

Is the latest update working for you?

I need to upgrade to the newer version of this rom (I need blue tooth to work)... what's the best way to backup everything so I don't have to reinstall after I backup? I downloaded an app called MyBackup Root... anyone know the right way to handle this? I know how to flash the new rom, but I want to make sure I do the backup/restore right.

have you tried cm7 yet, i couldnt hang with sense rom more than a day or 2, the performance of cm7 is much better than sense. only bug i have encountered is the lock screen, but i have figured that one out, the new overclock kernel for cm7 is out. my optimous is at 806 mhz. but i can understand when youre comfortable with your rom, but cm7 puts sense to shame. And im not putting Joneidy down at all, I could never do what he does. Its just my opinion that cm7 is better.

Yes I tried cm7. I guess the things that bothered me were the lag from portrait to landscape,m and biggest thing was the Bluetooth not working. When those get fixed maybe ill try again but with sense having a2sd now I might just stick with it.

I still can't find how to make the white background on the clock. I used the 'Weather & Flip Clock' widget. I don't see anything else to make it like that. Or am I not doing it right?

To be honest with you, It just worked all of a sudden for me, my phone froze, I rebooted and there it was, try it...oh and check ya email

I'm going to try to do a reboot from recover mode... but I *REALLY* need bluetooth to work.

I'm wondering if anyone else got it to work...
 
Or... sometimes I get:

There was a problem pairing with NoiseHush N700 because the PIN or Passkey is incorrect.

Which is sort of funny since it pairs with my wife's phone without any PIN or Passkey. LOL.

I LOVE this ROM, but I really need Blue Tooth... LOL, Did I mention it?

yes I got those same pop-ups for awhile, even after joinedy worked on it I tried it and it didnt work but like I said outta nowhere it did and its been fine ever since (bluetooth was very critical to me as well) I flashed every rom for this phone and none of them have functioning bluetooth except this one
 
I'm glad you told me that because I was just about to flash a different rom. LOL CM7.

Ugh!

I think I'll wait until I joinedy pops by...

Turn on phone
Unlock phone
From the main screen (where the clock is shown, and all the icons, etc).
Push the Apps Button
Push Weather & Toggle Wid...

Then look around in there... I don't have my phone on me, but I'm 100% certain you have the change the skin (it is ALREADY loaded on the phone, so if you have to download it, you're in the wrong place!). Then from there you may have to go back and forth until it comes on... but that will make it white and not clear. :)

Wish I had the last step but this should help.

You're looking for a line that says

H7C

(But NOT the mirror or anything else... it is ALREADY loaded)...

...

Found it.

Then scroll down (under "Clock Skin Preferences")
Push Select market clock skin
Push load installed clock skins
Push H7C Clock

---

That's it!!! :) It'll be white. You may have to toggle a few times. but it work. :)

And other addons and modifications that I hope you people like.

To flash go to recovery, then select wipe and select Wipe All User Data. Go back and now select flash from zip menu then disable signature verify. Then select Flash from zip and look for the downloaded .zip file and select it.

Hope that those quick instructions help you guys :)

A2sd support: Create a partition using custom recovery to enable a2sd. Make sure that partition is on ext3 format. Make partition before flashing rom. **Backup your sdcard because during partition it gets formatted.**

NEED SOME HELP wen i try to partition my sd card wen i press SD:ext2 to ext3 it gives me this error..... RUN FS ext3 via adb .... ANY HELP???

WEN I do all that and den the last step look for the rom zip file i dont appear on the sd card there even thow its there.. any help?

OK i fixed it my self Fixitpete this is wat you gotta do first just backup you sd card by copying everything to a folder on your computer, then format your SD card den just put the ROM zip file in the SD card den go to Custom recovery and do all the same process you shud be evil to see the ZIP file this time , and about the BLUE-TOOTH idk the creator of this rom will be fixing that soon so stay around this how my fone looks now :)

After lots of worrying, waiting and what not, I tried, and between Blaxican and You, in the last 2-4 hours I have turned my phone from a janky metro stock to an amazing SenseUI rom'ed droid.
I thank you, for, indeed, This is the droid I was looking for.
