Do we know specifically where this link will be posted? Will it be under our profile somewhere when we are logged in? Or will they put some link on the front page somewhere? Or will it be buried in the Premier forum?

I haven't kept full up to date with this thread yet I don't think it has been posted.
 
I'm sure they will send an email the day you can order. I received emails for early order option on the last couple of phones.

As you2 said above, they will email you if you signed up to get updates. But sometimes emails come out a little later than the actual sale begins.

The other place they are going post it is on Sprint's Premeir Community Forum. Use the link below. It will probably re-direct you to sign in with your Sprint account. After you login you'll be at the discussion forum page. The guy named "SP_ARTLOVESKC" said he will create a thread with the link inside when it is officially on sale.

My plan is to be hanging out in that community forum waiting for Art to post the link. I think that will be our best bet at first dibs.

i know it was mentioned above that someone may post the link.. my question is, i would think sprint would only let the link work for SP customers (gold and silver or whatever the color scheme is) and not for everybody?

so if one posted the link and someone who was not SP qualified attempted to purchase, wouldn't they not be able to? im just asking here so dont tase me bro..

i know the link will go live all over the word wide web.. but.. im just curious...

My guess would be that when you try to check out, Sprint's system will verify that you are a Premier customer before finalizing the checkout. I don't think they are stupid enough to think if they post it on the Premier website and email it to the Premier customers only they will be the ones to use the link.

There has to be some sort of verification built in to the system.
 
i think the first step of that pre-order process asks you for your phone number. that will verify if your account meets eligibility.
 
what are the chances that sprint will have some kind of midnight launch for the EVO3D? how many of you would go on the 23rd and wait in line until midnight to get yours?? i know i would.:)

I'd rather hold out a little hope that they would just schedule for preorders to pick up on the evening of the 23rd, but that probably won't happen :P It would just be easier for me to stop by there after work and get it rather than driving all the way from home to where I preordered.

Zero to none. If you get anything special, the Sprint stores would be opening an hour early on the 24th. I don't see Sprint having the stores open at midnight when we are getting reports that people pre-ordering today are 5th to 7th on the list.
 
Personally I'm kind of glad that right now the 3VO release is relatively low-key. Means less hassle for us geeks. The general public will come on board soon enough after they see those of us "in the know" with ours :)

Have them switch your number over to the primary. They do it often. The primary on our account keeps getting switched around, I had to switch it to mine.

The answer to this from the SP forums is:

I wish we had a systematic way to restrict the link to just Premier, but we currently don't. So, if someone does post it, a non-Premier customers could access it.

This is not good at all. This is what I feared would happen.

This link is going to make it around the internet in seconds. It will then bog down the Sprint ordering system and all of the SP Customers will be screwed.

I would of thought Sprint would have some kind of measure in place to stop this.
 
Same here I work till 11:00 also and would go there the night before. I work every other weekend so I looked at the calendar and since I work the 25th and 26th I should be off all day the 24th. I can't wait.

Yeah they talked about that last year and ended up the stores just opened an hour early. My store had coffee and OJ and donuts. And I stood in line with about 10 or 15 other people. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be at that particular store. I got me and my friends both. And were going together to get our 3D.

Not sure where I hinted that it won't have any problems. I won't be getting the device till July 21, hence, letting you guys play with everything before I purchase it. Oh, and once again, I am not waiting to buy it based off of what problems it has. I'm waiting because I cannot port my number until July 21.

Is it really necessary? If so, I'll just wait the three extra days and get my dad up early so I can have him purchase it for me then pay him back. I have to have him do it because I'm under 18, and we can't have any minors locked into contracts, now can we?

Hey Groty, did they tell you your upgrade wouldn't be in effect until the next billing cycle?

It seems a set standard but I'm just curious. I didn't realize the Primary got switched until too late. I had them switch it back June 2nd, 2 days too late for this month (I figured it would be a automatic thing in their computers). I had them put a note on my account about it but I might have to wait till July 1st to get the phone the customer service rep said. I want to get the phone using the SP online early sale but I'm afraid I'm going to have trouble on game day. I'm even more afraid on the 24th at Best Buy they aren't going to see a full upgrade available for my pre-ordered phone.
 
I've seen this on the Internet that premiere customers will be able to get their evo on the 21st. I called my store that i have my phone reserved at and the girl said she wasnt aware of this. She said she would check, make sure and call me back.

I never did get a call back with any info. What's the deal with this? Have any of you spoke to your retailer about this?
 
Sprint Premier customers can order (online) the 21st. Whether that means you get the phone the 22, 23, or 24th is still be be determined.
