Nope. From what I understand, the author of OMGB blatantly used Cyanogen's work for almost the entire ROM, and then took full credit for it. In my thread, I give credit to HTC for the software, to the person who gave me the base ROM, even to the guy who wrote the software that I use for the ROM. Most developers do this. But the OMGB developer, from what I understand (and I could be wrong), took the GB build that the Cyanogen team compiled, and then claimed that HE was the one who compiled it.
If that was the case in the past (I am assuming it was) it is definitely not the case now. On his site, he gives Cyanogenmod tons of credit, and says flat out that if it weren't for CM, none of the AOSP Gingerbread roms would work at all. And he lists everything he took from CM, and from other sources.
I did a nand backup and tried out CM7 all day today, the last stable build, not the current nightly. And I thought it had some things going for it, but at the end of the day, the only things it offered me that I didn't already have with OMGB (not OMFGB mind you, just OMGB) were things I didn't need, and they were buggy on top of that.
For example, I thought the trackball wake was a nice addition, especially when my Inc is in my car mount, and I can't reach the top button without taking it out. But it only worked part of the time I tried it. And then I disabled it, and it still worked. Buggy. There were a couple of other buggy things, like scrolling didn't work a couple of times, so I had to lock and unlock a couple of times before it started working again. Way too buggy for me. And OMFGB might be the same way. I can't say because I haven't tried it. But OMGB is rock-solid. The only problem I've found with OMGB after using it for months, is that sometimes the computer doesn't recognize it when I plug it in via USB, but generally if I wait a second before clicking the turn on usb drive option, it will work fine. That's it. The only bug I can find. That is impressive.
And another thing, I really dislike ADW. I even gave it a fair chance today, and tried to get used to it. And I made it work for me, enough that at the end of the day I could really say, ok, I can use CM7 as my daily driver. But I didn't want to. Why did they include ADW and make it where it can't be uninstalled? Why not just use the stock Android launcher, and let people install whatever they want, or just use it stock if they prefer?
I did notice they removed the offensive wallpaper, and I applaud them for that. But with that issue out of the way, I still just think OMGB is a much more solid rom than CM7.
I even tried Kingdom_Sense just for fun before I restored my OMGB rom. And I didn't see what the big deal was. But then, I have detached myself from Sense over the last few months, and I don't miss it. I don't think it can compare with Vanilla Android running LauncherPro+, but that is my personal opinion. The only thing I really like about Sense is the dialer, but I have the paid version of RocketDial and it does pretty much the same thing.
So, I think R2 has made amends for all if any offense he might've needed to make amends for, and given credit where credit is due.
So now that the moral issue is put to bed. I can compare rom to rom, and OMGB wins by a landslide as far as I am concerned.

Let's not hold a grudge people.
He has given credit where it's due. XDA has let him back on their forums, and even put his roms on their main rom thread. Let's let bygones be bygones, and judge the man based not on the color of his past, but on the content of his rom.
And whether it's your personal preference or not, anyone who has used OMGB has got to admit that it's one rock-solid AOSP Gingerbread rom.
