Hey Early and Novox, the fact that some phones issued to reviewers didn't have the license agreement to watch the green hornet. Is it possible something else wasn't unlocked , thereby causing this audio problem?
No... At least not to my knowledge.

I never turn off my 3G radio before turning on 4G. What happens when they are both on is the system gives 4G priority and turns off 3G. If 4G drops (which it does) then 3G kicks back on. It is designed this way.
That would be killer on a battery in my opinion. If 4G drops out and 3G takes over, the phone will still be searching for a 4G signal so it can connect to that signal again.
I think Sprint/HTC's problem is they deliver the same phone to reviewers that they do to consumers: Every stupid Sense and radio feature turned on out of the box. That's not use-it mode, that's demo mode. It gives the eye candy a bad name and kills batteries.
Here's a conundrum. Its probably the geekier of us who even read these reviews, and we know better in day to day operations not to have the whole kit & kaboodle lit up. That said, how many of those 400k per day activations go to nerds, and how many use their devices for the full extent of their contracts with any level of power management customization whatsoever?
I submit, therefore, that reviews do the vast majority of consumers an injustice if there are tweaks to out of the box configuration, and its something we need not be frustrated with.
I got the Evo 4G on launch day, June 4th. I read everything I could about it for days/weeks leading up to launch. And if my memory is correct, I remember reading a lot of similar comments about call quality on that phone. So I bought the phone wondering if call quality would be significantly less than my BB. I was pleasantly surprised, and have had no problem with call quality. So I guess I tend to also dismiss these comments, maybe foolishly so.
Does anyone else remember similar comments about the 4G?
Now that is a site doing some battery testing folks! Battery myth debunked!
HTC Evo 3D (Sprint)

...but it's a copyright infringing duplication of the original C|Net review we already know about?![]()

I have another gripe with the CNet review:
"However, when compared with the Nintendo 3DS, the Evo 3D has a limited depth of field. We asked Senior Editor Scott Stein, who covers gaming in addition to laptops, to take a look and he agreed that the 3DS delivers a richer experience that goes deeper into the screen, whereas the Evo 3D offers more of a popping-out effect."
What? How far the image appears to go into or out of the screen has NOTHING to do with the device. It is purely an artifact of the source material. The display only has to get the left image to your left eye and the right image to your right eye. If the same game looks different on two different devices, it's because the developers coded a different camera eye separation angle for each device, not because the devices are different. I suspect they were probably just comparing two different games/movies. Okay, rant over -- I just felt the need to whine about that one.![]()
This reviewer thinks the call quality is excellent but the battery life is atrocious...
Watch and listen to the whole video before posting! She said if you are on 4G all day long the phone will last you half a day. If you leave 3G on and you are not a heavy user you will get one day out of the phone. Leaving 3G off in my opinion will get you 2-3 days.
Did you even hear her say they could barley get a 4G signal? Means lots of battery consumption. I have had to spend a night in Dallas at a hotel close to the airport and 4G was phenomenal. I think Sprint floods the airport area with 4G.
The lady had full bars throughout the video. I assume this could be why she had excellent call quality. She did an excellent job reviewing the phone. She knows what she is talking about in regard to radio usage too. Other reviewers seemed clueless.
She never said atrocious!

There was no need for your rude reply nor do you have to defensive of the phone. I am not against it and will be getting it day one. i never said those were her actual words but when a reviewer says you gotta carry spare batteries like for the evo, one could conclude that battery life is atrocious(evo's was terrible). It does not matter to me though as 4g and 3g will both be off for me as i have wifi everywhere i go and will ONLY need it when im chilling somewhere like on the weekends..
She did say it was atrocious, 2-3 days on wifi? how is that realistic? perhaps in your never leaving the house dungeon world it is, honestly stop defending the phone as if your life depends on it. Users here have the right to their concerns and facts.
Didn't the mods already warn you about coming into this forum?
