Root need some help after OTA

So, a few months ago I rooted my phone to much success. Today I got the message asking if I wanted to get an OTA update, and because I am an idiot, I said yes and let it do its thing. A few minutes later it reboots, loads for a little while, and then displays a screen with the Android robot and a triangle with an exclamation mark in it, indicating that I have probably done something really wrong. It's been like that for several minutes now without the screen turning off, and the power button does nothing, and I'm afraid to pull the battery while it's like this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

ok so looks like you will have to pull the battery out and in. press and hold power+vol down to get to the hboot screen. what hboot do you have? and do you still have s-off?

Okay I'm not really sure what happened but just rebooting from Clockwork seems to work. It booted normally and then the phone asked me again if I wanted to install the OTA update, which I declined. Thanks for helping!

ok glad that you did not boink your phone. if you stay on stock rom just make sure to go to software in the phone settings and uncheck the software update box. also there are tons of new ota roms out there. there is even some roms with sense 2.1+sense 3.0 as well a pure sense 3.0 rom. check the rom/kernel sticky.

decline.. and dont do the update.. it wont install.. you can actually remove the update from your phone.. there are other updates out there.. a rooted update if you want it.. but if you allready got a gingerbread rom.. keep it..
