Root condemned cm7

CS..THIS ROM IS FABULOUS AND FAST. MY RADIO NOW WORKS ..THANKYOU AGAIN FOR ANOTHER GREAT ROM. You are now free to work miracles on the inc..but don't forget us here..PLEASE.

Use the File Manager. The icon looks like a file folder. Go in there and find it. Then, long press on it and choose 'Move'. Then, press the 'SD' button at the top and choose 'Move here.' I hope that helps.

Or you can go back a few pages and I explain how I do it. If I wasn't on my phone on a job I would link it for you unless Scotty could do it.

If you downloaded it with stock browser it will be in the download folder on your SD card.

glad v11 dropped today bkuz I just got the Nexus S 4G yesterday & my wife pretty bitter so hopefully flashing v11 for her will relieve some pressure lol
 
I flashed V11 today and it's running great. The only thing that I noticed is that the Market still has "My Apps" rather than Verizon apps - but that also means that when you try to activate Google Voice as your voicemail carrier it says something about your phone not being on the right carrier or something, and you cannot install any Verizon apps from the market. Is this fixable? (Of course, GSB 3.5 has the same issue.)

sorry, i couldnt do this earlier while i was working, and then i sort of forgot when i got off :o

Alot of us are using Comdemned CM7 which is linked in the 1st post of this thread. Also Comdemned Soul (the dev) visits quite frequently with us.:D What I do is:

1. I use I/O file manager.
2. Download the rom and anything else needed with it.
3. After download completes go into the download folder and the rom and whatever else you downloaded should be in there.
4. Long press and select move.
5. Move to sd.
6. After it's moved go back into the root of the sd card and make sure it/they are there.
7. Boot into recovery and go from there.

I'm trying to figure out what is causing that still. It's getting to be a nuisance at this point :o I know you can install market enabler and set that to "fake" verizon to get the verizon tab back in the market but that's still just a work around. I need to find the permanent fix for it.

It works for me. I use Google Voice as my voicemail carrier. I got that message too but just ignored it and it works fine. I even did a factory reset on V10 and installed it and it's working fine (on V11 also).

Personally, I think the My Apps than makes a lot more sense. Besides, you can do a search for Verizon if you still want to go there.

It's not just that - trying to activate Mobile Defense tells me that my number does not match my carrier.

Personally, I think the My Apps than makes a lot more sense. Besides, you can do a search for Verizon if you still want to go there.

That's just it - try to install Verizon Messages. for example. I believe it will tell you that it's only for phone on Verizon Wireless. Which you have, grrrr.
 
Sorry I've been MIA.. summer has me outdoors and not playing with my phone as much. I need to flash v11, but my phone is dead - so charging and then perhaps flashing tomorrow. I see some of you are having a few minor problems. I also notice that we don't have to flash gapps separately now?! Is that correct?

I haven't given up on my Eris. I refuse to upgrade until Verizon has an HTC superphone, which may not be until late in the last Q this year. So, I'm holding out. With CS's awesome ROMs, my Eris is good to go.

Welcome back & yes no need to flash gapps :-) glad to see all is well with you
 
Flashed v11 and so far everything is running very smoothly. I flashed the regular one this time as opposed to the Stripped to Hell version. I also, did a full wipe even though I was running v10 just because I always have better results doing a full wipe before flashing a ROM.

Glad to hear you like it :) v12 should be out tomorrow or Tuesday. Just waiting for cm 7.1 final to be ready so I can pull the source and put it together. Market should have the Verizon tab back with that as well. It was a cm issue for sure so I don't feel so bad I couldn't find it now :) lol
