ok, sbfing back to try it again. so do you just flash the monster zip from D2 bootstrap or is there something i am missing? Thanks
 
yep, SBF back to FyoYo, install Z4, D2 bootstrap and go to CWM, from there, just flash the monster file, after you load that, boot it up and long press the power button and goo to reboot recovery so you can load monster a second time, this fixes the radio file for some reason.
then you can load the dailies if you like.

This is what I just did:
1. SBF
2. Root with Z4
3. Flashed latest CWR with Rom Manager (Droid X 2nd init)
4. Boot into recovery with D2 bootstrap/Rom Manager
5. Wiped:
a. Dalvik
b. Battery
c. Factory/Data
6. Mount system
7. Installed nightly #6 full (available on CM site/Rom Manager premium)
8. flashed gapps
9. flashed camera fix
Waited for everything to reboot and POW! I am on frazzin' CM7 on my DX

Thats what i did the first time, but after loading the monster zip I rebooted and it just hung at the white "M", any ideas?
 
go though the process i mentioned before, after the second time around with the monster file, it will ask you to activate. then gmail will get set up
 
my batt has been bad so far, but im gonna let it settle down before messing with quickclock.

also with the Monster zip i went straight from GB to CM

Nightly Build #7 is now available.
CRT and ERI (Verizon Wireless banner) now included in the Build.
Network Location IS working with Beautiful Widgets.

Camera and camcorder broken.
Netflix broken.

Time to reflash that Camera fix CWR zip.
 
I can confirm that nightly 7 works with the flashable camera.zip, and Netflix and HBO Go both work, the hard camera button still is a NO go, but the on screen button works fine. I also tried Camera360, and the hard button works with it. And FWIW, my Quadrant score with no OC averaged 2096 after 5 runs.
 
getting random reboots.. i wiped data/wiped cache, and also wiped dalvik cache..ran the CM7 #7 nightly downloaded apps from market.. right away I get a reboot..whenever the screen goes black.. I push the power button to wake it up and it reboots.. guess i gotta wait for a RC
 
Using BattMonX, no longer getting 1% increments it seems to revert to 10%. Is this due to CM7's current state or am I missing something?

Can you flash nightly 7 right over nightly 6 or do you have to do a factory reset etc.?

Just installed that app - very cool!!!!

I have been hesitant to flash this b/c I use the camera daily. I know there is a fix so I may take the plunge tonight. So if someone who's flashed the latest nightly can tell me, are the only things broken the camera, video camera and video playback? Does everything else work?

See OP. There is a camera fix out there you can apply or flash. The video camera is still broke but I think there are/is a 3rd party apps out there from the market to enable video. (See Videocam Illusion)
 
Anyone notice you can't turn wi-fi off. It always reverts to on even when un-ticked. :confused: Nightly Build #7 - not sure if was a problem in other builds.
