Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

Rootzwiki:
As for google apps, the 2.3.4 gapps have been reported to not be working on this build. I personally have had success using the gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip package. As for where to get them, I'll leave that up to you to find. :D

What does he mean by this? Can we download the google apps from the market? Or would we want better...2.3.4 apps that we need to get from that package?

problem is i actually beat all of ya'll i was copying his whole message and editing the links to give the actual link, but im going to remove my post and leave ya'lls up

Yeah, I saw that. I bow to the master! :D
You should have left it. It was a better post than mine after all.

Lol, I just saw your post about almost being done flashing... you are a mad man! :D

He is saying that you want to use that version of the google market app.

This is actually pretty sweet. Sucks that theres no marketplace app, so I can't go customizing it and all though.

However, I immediately noticed my signal strength going up. Normally I'd have 1 bar in my home, two if I was lucky. I'm at four right now. Not sure if its thanks to CM, but I'm loving it.

Great to hear, will probably wait for a later version but so glad it's finally coming to the droid x. The droid x keeps getting better and better through software.

If you can, check the md5sum before flashing. I used that first link and got a bad download. At least check the file size first.

Super excited for this!! Normally im all for being on the bleeding edge, but im going to have to wait on them to get things like the camera working before I jump head first into it...

Seems like the way to go here. While it's a neat thing to use, once you install it, that's basically it. Flick through the menus, and you're done. I might go back to Froyo because there's really not much functionality here.

Looks like the excitement just got through to me.

does anyone else not getting data connection?

mine is just whited out like its not connected, anyone else have this issue?

is it possible to use a third-party camera/camcorder app from the market, or is the initialization hosed?
