Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

Camcorder and battery life are the only issues I see right now. Even though I don't use the camcorder at all.

Actually, battery for me is not *that* terrible on CM7DX. I'm about 6.5 hours off the charger and 80+% left. Listened to streaming audio on the way into work, been playing with the phone on and off all morning testing out Go Launcher, various widgets, etc etc and some more radio.

Battery use showing 40% used by the display, behind that is phone idle at 13% and cell standby at 11%, and Go Launcher at 10%.

I actually think the battery is doing pretty well considering we're only on ROM #7 for our device.

CM7 on the DX is crazy fast, the CM7 options are great, themes on the fly, DSP has improved headphone/speaker audio tremendously. Geolocate is working now. There is just nothing to not like about it, IMO.

I can't seem to play videos that I have on the phone. Is that a bug in this release and is there a work around? Thanks

Having an issue with keyboard(s). Installed SwiftKey X Beta and ticked it in keyboards but doesn't seem to be anywhere else to change to it and it is not being used as the keyboard, rather the default one is.

This might sound strange, and kinda dumb I know, but here goes. Is anybody's LED randomly blinking? I'm not imagining it, but every once in a while, my green notification LED goes off. It doesn't stay on, or blink in a series, it just blinks once. Not that it's a big deal, I'm just curious if it happens to you guys too.

Is bluetooth VAD (voice activated dialing) working for any of you? Bluetooth audio for both media and phone audio are working, but when I press the button on my bluetooth device, it launches the VAD program and immediately quits (doesn't crash, just says goodbye or something). It says that it failed to pair I believe, yet it works other than that program.

Anyone else test this?

LoL!
What are you doing in here?
I thought I told you I'd send you a PM once things with CM4DX got stabilized!!! ROFLMAO!
(I'm goofin' around :P)
I know I know, CM4DX & its thread IS impossible to resist!
Especially since the DX is locked down and this isn't suppose to be possible.
Its getting there, its actually quite impressive watching this beta grow into a beast.

Have you taken the plunge into CM4DX yet?
There is a temp camera/Netflix/Quadrant fix via zip in CWR, but camcorder is still dead.
Cell Standby bug is gone now.
Battery life is still getting devoured.
I'm not worried about anything, we have CVPCS and Team Cyanogen behind the DX ;)
Are you fiending yet buddy?

Hey man I know (I'm still waiting for your PM). ;)

Sounds like progress is being made but since it still has bugs, Im not interested in flashing it. When everything is cool then I will.

Till then, I continue to use Liberty.

Carry on. :)

I don't know if this is similar to what you describe or not but 'Microsoft Sync' works in my Lincoln MKZ with voice commands/auto dialing, ect...

I'm convinced that this has been happening on my phone since day 1 that I owned it. At first I thought I was going nuts but it happens frequently enough that there's no way I'm just imagining things every time. I don't think I've ever actually watched it happen, but when my phone is sitting on the sofa next to me or something, I'll catch it out of the corner of my eye.

Heh, yeah I've felt like that since I've owned it. But this time I was staring directly at it when it happened. I know I didn't imagine this one haha.

EDIT: MMSes work for me just fine.

Hmmm... tempted to flash 7. I'm greedy. I've waiting for a more stable version before I re-flash. :)

its stable now steven, the only difference is camcorder doesnt work... but the rom is very stable, no force closes or anything that im aware of except the torch, but i use extended controls and it works fine lol, and apparently the camcorder doesnt work, im going to go ahead and flash it all back tonight :)

Stock app or Handcent, or GoSMS? I've just found that for me, GoSMS is the only one that will send off a picture.

Same problem, and I was so excited to get real voice dialing too. :\
Another in-car disappointment was that cyanogen doesn't seem to support wma files.

I also have the built in LiveWallpapers failing (grass, nexus, etc). Here is my log from that:

Question: Before I flash CM4DX for the first time. After I SBF back to .340, can I just flash the latest nightly or do I need to flash the original release, then the latest nightly.

Any help would be appreciated. It looks like it's getting close enough stability wise from me to try this puppy out...:D

If you are back on .340 you can just flash the most recent nightly and will be just fine.

Just go straight to the latest nightly if you wish. ;)

If anyone is having problems with Handcent not sending MMS, go to Settings>Application Settings>Default Messaging App, and change that to All, then handcent works fine.

This works for Handcent but i don't know about other messaging apps

edit:
thanks to razorloves over at rootzwiki for the find.
