Is there any way to take screenshots with no rooted EVO now that shootme doesn't work?

I tried searching but couldn't find a decent answer. What's the deal?

Why doesn't HTC/Android want to provide an easy method to create screen shots? I would think the free advertising of people wanting to post their cool screens would be reason enough to include that feature.

If anyone knows of an easier way, I am all ears/eyes.

Sorry, didn't say it was easy.
That's really the only option for an unrooted phone. Once you get it down, it's not that hard. I used to do it last year. The only other option is a $5 app in the market, which also requires that you hook your phone up to the computer.
