Hi Guys. Like to know if anyone else is experiencing these major faults on this phone. (1)My reception jumps around now and then. The g/3g/H indicator will diappear from the top and be replaced with a circle with a line in it. When this happens i am not able to browse or make a call. (2)Also i get SOME calls going to voicemail despite full reception bars(similar to the fault on iphone 1/2/3/4). I have never experienced these problems on my previous Desire/Desire HD using the same carrier as i am on now(T-mobile UK). (3)My bluetooth headset goes funny now and then when i make or recieve a call. It does not respond and thus does not allow me to make or receive the call. I can't even use the phone at this time. i have to disconnect my the call. My headset is Jawbone Icon. (4)The phone overheats when playing games. I am thinking of rooting the phone to underclock back to the original 1ghz. (5)The battery is vulnerable when you start gaming on the phone. Again i think underclocking the phone could improve this. My phone is sim-free unbranded bought from carphone warehouse. I also have a few minor faults with it aswell. Weak WIFI signal. Yellow tint on left side of screen. And faulty 3.5mm jack. I still have a couple of days left to exchange it for a new handset. Would you advise this or not. I don't want to end up with an even faultier handset. I still absolutely love the handset. Please give me your expert opinions ASAP. Thanx in apprehension. P.S This is my first thread on this forum. So i would appreciate some help instead of childish behaviour i.e 'No more complaints' REPLIES. Just like the saying goes, IF YOU HAVEN'T GOT ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY THEN KEEP SHUT.

You said it yourself, it's a lovely phone! I'd suggest getting it replaced (because a few have had some of your faults) and more often than not, it is fixed by a quick replacement. As for the weak wifi signal - check out the xda forums. But you already know that.
A while ago, I was worried with Galaxy S2 and having both, deciding which to keep was difficult.
Until I got used to it, but now I have it sorted out and looking great in a Zenus Carbon case.
Compared to my iPhone 4, it's in a different league.
I kept the Galaxy S2 and can say I made the right choice.

its a software problem other smartphones have had similar problem and will be fixed by samsung soon just give them some time
Hmm. This is not good. I can live without 4G LTE for now, but poor WiFi reception is unacceptable for me.
So is everyone with SGSII having low to no WiFi reception? Or is it just incorrectly displayed on WiFi reception while it's actually working fine?
I don't believe that many people are having the the problem. And seeing as you referred to 4G LTE i assume you live in America?
(This is complete speculation, but it's logical that by the time they release it, many of this issues will have been fixed

I have not had any of those problems with my S2, and I have had it for about a month now. The battery does get warm with heavy use, but this was no different than my iPhone4. This only thing that frustrates me is that when I set the phone to "vibrate all the time" mode, it seems to revert back to the default setting. I cannot get it to stick.
As for the "H" popping up where the "3G" is....I am on AT&T (US) and the "H" means you are on there high speed network (HDSPA+ or what ever the acronym is).

H is HDSPA+ which is 3.5G so its better to be on that than 3G.
I haven't had.problems with calls dropping off but have had a couple.of instances where i have full.reception but people can't call me. I've called o2 and they think its a sim card.problem which has since.been.rectified by wiping the sim card with my finger and putting.it.back
I've had the calls dropping problem. The handset appears to have full reception with no local tower problems but sometimes drops calls without warning.
I think I read this may be caused when the phone tries to switch data channels i.e from 3G to H.
I'm on Talk Mobile which uses the vodafone network and don't really suffer from wifi reception problems.

I think these are the data connection indicates:
G GPRS
E EDGE
3G 3G
H HSPA
H+ HSPA+
Though I don't know that I've see the G....

Mine stay on H+ about 90% of the time, the rest 3G. Really depends on your location to a tower. WiFi works as good as any phone I have ever had.

Sometimes call dropouts are caused by your hand against the side of the phone, triggering the end call button, Capacitive screen works by detecting the static in your finger or something, and you can work the screen without actually touching it if you get your finger close enough.

If you mean have any US carriers released it yet, the answer is no. And since Apple has filed patent infringement suits against Samsung that could end up blocking US sales it could be a while. It is unlikely that any US carrier will launch the S2 before this matter is settled.

I have being having battery issue with my one week old Galaxy S2, it's on Gingerbread 2.3.3 version and lasts roughly 4-5 hours with the kind of usage i used to have on my Nokia N8 previously (includes some gaming, casual browsing via wi-fi or 3G, downloading stuff sometimes through market, watching YouTube videos etc)
here's a snapshot of my battery usage, i have drained my battery once entirely and recharged it while phone was in switched off state, going on to second recharge post completely drained battery with Advanced Task Killer and Juice Defender installed and working hoping to see some improvement in battery life, Should i take then phone to service center for inspection or wait for Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 release.
Facing phone warming issue near camera like some other reviews i have read, while gaming or using GPS etc checked battery temperature which hover around 31 deg c - 36 deg c.

Sorry about your problems, but my S2 has been unplugged from the charger almost 28 hours and is still at just under 38%. I firmly believe that when I stop playing with this phone in the months to come (Cos at the moment I can`t put it down 
) that i will easily get 2 full days out of this phone.
And I don`t have any trick apps to increase battery and everything is on GPS, Wi-fi, syncs, push the lot. Here :

Well, I've had my galaxy s2 for a week now, and I'm pretty happy to be honest. I came from an iphone4, which I still have.
Battery easily lasts a day and is compatible to the iPhone - which is one of the best in the business.
You need to understand - treat the phone as you would a car: if you're going to leave it ticking over most of the time, or do little runs to the shops, you won't be filling it up all that much.
If you drive it hard, it'll go through furl quicker.
I am now using the lite'ning rom which makes the battery and overall performance of the phone so much better.
