Root How To Clear Dalvik Cache

My EVO 4G is unrooted and never has been. Like a lot of others I have been having problems since the GB updates. Is there a way to clear the dalvik cache with an unrooted phone, or is the only thing I can do is a factory reset? If so can someone tell me how? I also have my MSL number from Sprint. I assume having this number doesn't help at all in my quest to root being I am at 2.3.3? Thanks for any help!

I don't believe you can clear Dalvik-cache without being rooted and having a custom recovery.

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xtreme is correct. you can't clear dalvik cache unless you are rooted. and you are correct in that the only way to really clear dalvik cache is to do a factory reset. and yes your msl number will not have any affect on rooting. i would stay tuned to this thread:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...cant-root-your-gingerbread-2-3-3-evo-yet.html. if you want to root in the future.
