Root bought rooted gt540

hi all, i have just bought a lg GT540 and its rooted but i dont have any idea what i can and cannot do with it. I would like to make it really fast but dunno how to!!! its runnin Android 2.3.3, kernal version mur4ik virtualbox #298 and mod version CyanogenMod-7.0.0. any1 got some easy ideas 1st then ill get to some adventurous stuff wen im more in tune with wot im doin!! lol

also i dont have the disc to the fone and not sure were to get the drivers from?

That has custom 2.3 on, you can do almost anything with a rooted phone but you will need to be careful with what you do because you could damage the phone.

If you want to speed it up check settings, CyanogenMod settings then tap performance and you can overclock the cpu, mine is currently at 806Mhz and runs really smooth, I would take it to 825 at the highest much higher and it could make the phone unstable, some people have had problems with 825 as well, I think its the absolute maximum you can take it to.

After you have overclocked it any slowdown could be to do with RAM problems, to check that hit the menu button (right hand soft key) and tap magage applications then tap running and at the bottom it tells you how much RAM is free.
