Help turn on sound for weather widget

i was wondering if anyone knew how to turn on the sound for the weather widget. everyone i know that has the evo has the noises when it rains or thunders and i really want it but cant figure it out. any help would be great. Thanks!

are you on gingerbread? it should have come with the ota.

i dont even know what gingerbread is. im not technology savvy at all lol

go to phone settings/about phone/software info/and it and check android version and software version. your phone (if it is up to date) should be on android version 2.3.3 (gingerbread) and your software version should be 4.24.651.1.

and gingerbread is an up date that google has for android. it is kind of like windows xp vs windows 7. they are updates and they are named after deserts for some reason. the next update coming out is ice cream sandwhich. i doubt that our evos will get that update though.

I have an EVO 4G and Gingerbread too without out wearther sounds, my girlfriend just go the EVO Shift and when we did the latest update to hers it now does weather sounds...

touch weather widget, once open press menu key to access weather widget settings...
