Help How can i force the android market update

I tried setting manage applications and all i can do is force close the market app

How can I uninstall the android market update (3.0.27) without it instantly reupdating and downloading itself again?
This updated it own its own this morning.
The icon of the bag is open a little with yellow showing.
I have already tried uninstalling updates in the manage applications menu?

last update all you had to do was force close and clear data and it updated itself. u can try taht.

My dinc2 is not showing the gingerbread update, I activated sunday.

I tried force closing and nothing happened. Did you go to settings and phone info and check for the update

Try google searching for "android market 3.0.27".Click on some results you should find a link to the .apk to download.
Start with the first result...

Now that's really weird... I looked at a page with a link to the 3.0.27 version and went off to collect APK Installer. And Market updated on its own. Spooky!!! [/Twilight Zone music]

Here's the market I'm using. I've installed it on the Fascinate and the Inc2 and it has worked flawlessly on both. Hope this helps.

How do u install/use the file linked? Do u need to root if phone ?

no you do not have to be rooted. Download the link on your computer and draag it to you android. (it wouldnt work on my phone through the internet) then use astro to find the downloaded content and just click it and the phone will take care of the rest
