The Phases purge let me revote!
I'm going to say something else.
The document says the Stratosphere's previous name was Aegis, which is a netbook.
But it also says Stratosphere is 4G smartphone running android 2.3, which can't be a netbook.
15 of use are either uncannily clairvoyant or else extremely optimistic lol
Oooooo, pictures! I feel like I just spotted a Unicorn.Looks like the Tmobile variant of the Galaxy S2 may be the hercules...

Not sure if I want a 4.5" screen but it would make room for a LTE radio and bigger battery without being a slider.
Agree I think those 15 are in for a disappointment when the stratosphere turns out to be a slider or something else and not the sgs2.
I wouldn't be disappointed. I would be downright devastated. I don't think my poor Droid can't hold out much longer, but I will NOT have another slider. Waiting until the holidays for something "bigger & better" is going to really string out my already strung-out Droid.
On your other issue: I would not be surprised to see multiple dual-core LTE phones being released simultaneously. Smartphones are headed toward dual-core... even as quad core phones are in the works and, in 2 years, will be the norm. New Verizon LTE markets are opening all the time, so introducing various multi-core LTE phones on the same day - while shocking to us in the beginning - will soon be so common-place that we won't even think about it.
I guess Stratosphere is slider with LTE, dual core because it probably needs more room to fit those components.
Here's the picture that started all the fuss:

Slider, Samsung, Verizon, LTE. And nothing around it to set it to scale, so it could be monster thick! I really don't want a slider, but I want an SGS2 bad enough to consider it.

I think this one can be mid range LTE phone replacing Charge and Stratosphere is probably the non-slider dual core, LTE phone. Keyboarded phone rarely becomes big selling flagship model these days, and hope Sammy understands that if they want to put up fight with Bionic, iPhone5.
Yeah, I remember that report and saw some other source saying it's got single core processor. Since then I never thought that would be Function or any SGS2 model.

I think they really should make non-slider LTE SGS2 and it will sell itself even without marketing blitz that Bionic will have. Recently leaked pictures of Bionic look too bulky, industrial to me. Given they put out Tab 10.1 LTE without any thick hump part, non-slider LTE SGS2 should be possible.
The tab has more space for parts so that's not a real valid argument.
Oh ye of little faith...The only thing is the stratosphere is only one said to be lte so unless the sgs2 variant wasn't on that roadmap or they are scrapping the lte slider its not looking good for the sgs2 to have LTE since only one samsung on that was said to have LTE.
