has anyone got wired tether working for the prevail?
the apk I'm using is telling me the kernel does not have necessary somethingorother.

I'm using this one in particular

android-wired-tether - Wired Tether for Root Users - Google Project Hosting

also, is the wired tether I just listed from the same guys that made the wireless tether for android here? https://market.android.com/details?id=android.tether&feature=search_result

the program itself looks the same, same design and everything, etc.

Most here have used PDAnet or easytether for wired tethering.
both work very well, but unless you buy they dont do https secured browsing.

Before I rooted my phone , I used the paid version of Klink Tether w/o Root . It's like $3 or close to it .

I've been using Klink for months now (on it right now) before root and since root the price was right and it works like a champ for me (as long as you have decent signal)

It will get a finiky at times and drop it's connection but I'm sure there in a perfect world that would be a problem

So I can use 5GB+?
you can, if you have the speed available to do it.
Some places the speed is too slow for extended downloading. Well I guess that is a matter of it you really need it to. :D

I heard they are in talks to cap it but right now they are not.
