if anyone out there who knows how to set ringtones to contacts please help!!! I tried everything I can't figure it out, I want to have personal ringtones for certain contacts.

easy way that I know of open contacts click on one and then hit menu. another menu will pop up options or edit, go to options, in there will be a ringtone select

what new optimus said is the best way, but if u have Zedge and you download a ringtone when you select to set it a window pops up to set as and u can pick contact, default or notification sound.

I can't set the contact ringtone through the contact list; the option for it never appears. I dowloaded Ringo Lite - it's free and allows you to set both ringtone and message sound for each contact.
