Root Question about undervolting

hey everyone. I was wondering why my phone reset its voltage settings when it rebooted. I am using CM7 with Tiamat 4.0.6 no SBC. For example:

after i lowered the voltages it reads--128000 850 900


but when i reboot my phone, those numbers return back to the "kernel default". Does anyone know why this could be happening? or is it normal that it resets?

Well I just recently started using setcpu and my settings always stick after rebooting. Are you using that app? If so, I would check into some details on the kernal to make sure your mins and maxes line up with what it allows. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe each kernel has a differwnt acceptable range for undervolting and overclocking. At worst, roll back to your most recent nand backup and flash the kernel again and redo your setcpu settings.

Well, I dont have setCPU, im using viperMOD instead. If i dont reboot it seems to be working fine. And it seems as though the battery is lasting longer as well. I figure I will leave the current setup until something goes wrong. Thanks for the help though!

there is a setting in cm7's scaling that you can do to set on boot. same goes for setcpuas well.

Oh, Where is that scaling menu located?. But if I lower the voltage every time I reboot(without the set on boot) will it still work properly? Or do you have to reboot to put the changes into effect?

i believe that in cm7 it is under cm settings then performance. there should be someplace there to set on boot.
