It's amazing how fast that commerical went from "leak" to live. I saw Rise of the planet of the apes last night, and the commerical aired on the big screen. (However the speakers weren't working so I didn't hear sound. And when I watched the leak I watched it at work without sound. I have YET to hear this commercial!)

Sweet. I'm actually going to see that movie tonight. Don't spoil it! But I'll be on the watch for the Bionic commercial that actually doesn't even have the Bionic in it. :)
 
When pre-releases happen, does the website for ordering go live at 12:01am EST/PT or some othe arbitrary time? Need to know whether to stay up late or get up early as my OG is barely hanging on to the abuse it's taken (3 accidental baths, accidental drops, etc.)
 
Can someone tell me why the tease video thread is locked, then Messenger 13 posts something, and then it's locked again??

I can tell you that only a Mod can lock a thread (and I'm sure there's a good reason for it)...just press the !Report button and ask a question if you want a Mod's attention re. this.
 
The newer video post was "dumped" in the locked thread rather than deleted on its own. ;)

The thread has since been removed.

No! :)

Not "wrong." It's just that the thread was meant to show a promo for a product, the upcoming Bionic, but quickly morphed into a thread about the lady in the video, rendering the whole thing useless, especially given this thread about release date speculation.

PM me with any other discussion or questions about that, please. Let's return this thread to the topic at hand and not about a removed thread. ;)
 
Not bad leak info. One rumor was 8/26 which turns out to be the ad date. Someone interpretted as the release date. I think 9/8 is a good date.

Definitely not the 26th. It's a Friday!

I'm guessing pre-orders will go up a week from today.
 
I talked to a friend who is a "data director" at Verizon and asked if the 8th was a reliable date. His response: "that's the plan, but not a guarantee".

Nothing earth shattering, just noting that it sounds like the 8th may actually be it if no snags come up before that.

That is not an official moto/vzw account and is just an individual. The only official twitter accounts to watch are motorola, verizon wireless and droidlanding.
 
Well, I don't know if we can trust this twitter account any more than MDB228. But many leaks showing the September 8th date pretty much make it real.
