Samsung GS2- ROOT

Anyone knows how to check if my Samsung GS2 is a rooted phone?
is it check the kernel version?


one more thing, my phone gets warm(near the back camera) when I plays music for 20mins or so, is this normal?

heating is normal if u have older firmware and to check if ur phone is rooted simply install any app from market for rooted phone and if u wont be able to use it fully means ur not rooted. don`t know other option for that as i haven`t rooted my phone yet ;)
 
It is pretty normal to feel the heat coming from the device because it is so thin!

I'm pretty sure you get the logic :)
 
that depends on wat u can define as acceptable heat coming from the back of the phone. u dont design such a thin phone without thinking about how to control heating :D fortunately, firmware fixed the issue for me, and mos others.. the heat that i was getting after 15min of using 3G almost made my phone unusable (too hot to hold). but on topic to this thread, u do not need to root to get rid of this problem, just flash new firmware ;)

Oh well.. I just bought my device and straight away updated it to KH3 ;). So I do not really know what happened with previous firmware.
