Root [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 Huawei M835

I flashed the wrong ROM. (Dronix) which works except the whole cellular thing LOL. Even if I flash another Rom the Dronix Load screen starts up instead of the Huawei Logo.

No idea what to do.

lol umm flash a rom for the m835 maybe ;)

you may need to flash back to stock and reprogram by dialing *228 option 2 I believe.

when I dail *228, it says no mobile network available. At the lock screen it says No UIM. It thinks its a GSM ROM. When you look at the VPN settings it says Vodafone and all that. I know the VPN is just for Data and stuff but I deleted that xml and tried to replace it with Metro settings. That did nothing. Its looking pretty dim.
Anybody Got a Ascend for sale?
 
ok still trying to install this rom- stuck at the, i guess boot animation now, BUT when installing, the progress bar stops at like 3/4 of full-that's not right, is it?

dl the back to stock file and restore to stock n start again ;)

sound like you got a bad dl, re-dl and try again.

the dload folder with a .app file in it?

with that file you dont need CWM or the stock recovery. Just place it on the sdcard and do the button combo and it does its think.

it installs all the way and i can reboot n stuff
, but when it's done installing the progress bar 's at like maybe 60-80% when CWM or even UJ say its done.
boots, but still stuck on those 3 funny lookin dudes n nothing-even after waiting like 30 min...
 
Hey PlayfulGod, I was finally given the 'goahead' to install a ROM on an M835.

Any "PlayfulMod" For this phone or is it Cyan only?

I have the the .img's I need to cook up something for it. Think thats what I may do tomorrow along with a few others things I been putting off.
 
Well as things will have it, I purchased an Ascend today and just flashed to CM7. And I would still love to know how to recovery my m835... I guess i will use it as a Guinea Pig for now. Thanks for everyone!

Still having trouble with Wifi...
 
I hated this phone before I installed this ROM. My phone is as fast as anyone could expect given the processor speed. Thanks to this ROM I am content with the M835 for the moment.

Like everyone else I am expecting an update with a WiFi fix.

Those who get/got the status 7 error, toggle off assert checks.
