Gingerbread 2.3 was here, then gone, now it's back

...and while I have not bruised my thumb checking for updates, I have been harassed by gargoyles, knife wielding lobsters, dingos and the like to stop reading this thread. I simply cannot abide. It has been 1 day since I flashed the latest nightly. I constantly long for ice cream sandwiches.

inc 2 rollout has been over a while though. plus he did have the incredible at one point though. He was part of the epic 'date ordered/date received' thread where me, baby and a few others logged our few hundred posts

Hate to be a spoilsport here... you do have an Incredible... not an Inc 2, right? The Inc 2 update was announced to be rolling out - no definite announcement for the Inc yet.

(The dingos are right to be skeptical...)

Yes I have the incredible 1. I know people are skeptical but i know what happened this am On my phone. As I said i will take pics when i get home and post.

Here's a screen shot of mine waiting for me to restart and install the update. I haven't done it yet cause I don't want to lose the ability to root in the future. But I got the notification this morning. I live in Houston, but my phone is a 706 area code from GA if that matters.

Woohoo, my phone is famous. Hilarious, I didn't realize I was getting this update ahead of anyone. Here I am trolling XDA and Phandroid waiting for a rooted release of this OTA. Anyway. Here are some more pics. I rotated the first one so you don't get a crick in your neck either.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the phone to give me the first update notification screen I saw which gave me the option to 'install now', 'install later', and 'more info', but even after rebooting it hasn't come back up. If it does I'll post that one too.

If someone can tell me how to pull the file off the phone and upload it, I can do that too. I mounted it via USB but can't see anything. Do I need ADB to do that?
